Welcome to SU: Legacy, a next-gen Supernatural RP that takes place in the year 2040. The Men of Letters has expanded to include three base locations across the continental US. Angels and demons have gone mostly dormant but there are still supernatural evils lurking in the shadows. The legacies could use your help. Are you in?
Giving credit where credit is due. A big thank you to all the coders at PBS and various resource sites for any codes, plug-ins and templates.
Thanks to Nick @ Fidelius for the fabulous mini-profile. Everything else was created by our own staff. If we missed someone please let us know.
We don't own Supernatural, we just enjoy it's awesomeness. Thanks Eric Kripke for creating it, all the writers/producers for putting out a great show and the CW for keeping it on the air for almost 10 years now!

He usually wear a pair of jeans, a v-necked gray shirt and a black velvet jacket. They look simple but they are all expensive brands. He likes comfortable leather shoes and always has a narrow, long necklace on that vanishes under his shirt. Occasionally he can be seen in formal wear but doesn't like it much. His vessel's hair is short and he has a short beard and mustache that always looks like it can't decide if it's stubble or an actual beard. He has two cream-white wings in his true form but rarely shows them to anyone except the few angels he likes.

Biggest Secret(s): He doesn't make a secret of his lecherous lifestyle, but there is one thing he keeps to himself: he's in love with a fellow angel who doesn't seem to notice it.
Personality (write a decent paragraph):
Balthazar enjoys life on Earth and is very fond of good cuisine, wine and sex. He also loves jazz music and theatre. Nothing like a good, gory drama with several dead royals at the end, eh? He loves to have fun and occasionally screws with humans. He also claims to be neutral in the war but he would help Castiel anytime, even take risks for him (and he's quite a coward unless forced to fight). Can't stand the Winchesters but understands their importance and has a grudging respect for them, not that he'd admit it to their face.
He used to be an obedient soldier for long, but even since Castiel showed him the way of free will, he came to hate his former life. It's like he had been a Borg drone, he says. He doesn't want to go back, and that's why he avoids most of his brothers.
Under the sassy and sarcastic surface he's really worried about the future, and he doesn't want to lose the few true friends he has.
Family and Friends:His angelic siblings. He's particularly good friends with Castiel and they used to be close with Gabriel before the Archangel left Heaven.
Enemies and Rivals:Raphael and his henchmen, demons and other evil creatures
History:
He was created with other angels before Earth, although he has never seen the face of his Father. He had been assigned as a guardian back in Biblical times, and things were much less complicated then. A lot more people could lay eyes on his true form without going blind (something that always made him sad - why would God not allow most of his human children to see angels as they were?). When Lucifer was cast down after a great war, Balthazar fought in Anna's garrison along with Castiel and Uriel.
There was a long period of peace, until they were assigned to lay siege on Hell. When Castiel pulled Dean Winchester out, everything changed. Balthazar didn't know the majority of his brothers actually wanted Lucifer free and kick-start the Apocalypse. When he finally realized, he got into a bad fight with Zachariah, trying to explain him how wrong it all was, and all he got for his effort was death threats. By then he knew he wanted to get out of this. He stole the weapons of Heaven, faked his death, leaving behind a wing print and one of his potential vessels dead, then took his current vessel and lay low, pretending to be human and keeping out of the way of other angels. He grew fond of human life and he's been making good deals. Is he fallen? Probably. He likes to call it "woken up".

RP Sample (required):
"Fear not" Balthazar began with the usual warning as he approached the human. This was the first time he revealed himself to someone who wasn't a son or daughter of Israel. This was a Roman centurion, converted to Christianity by Peter - and a potential vessel. In these dark times Michael sent a few of them to Earth, with orders to protect the Christians. They were to take vessels and Balthazar had never done that before, so majestic appearance ot not, he was a bit nervous. The Roman - Caelius - took a knee and gazed at him in awe. "Who are you?" "I am Balthazar, an angel of the Lord." He tried not to look too intimidating, although with his size and brightly shining grace it wasn't an easy task. "I am here to help your brothers and sisters, Caelius, but I will need a vessel, a human I can use as a host. Most of you would go blind at the sight of my true visage." "How come that I can look upon you?" "A few humans can. Prophets and vessels, usually. You are from a bloodline that was tied to me from the beginning. You could contain me, but I need your permission." Caelius was clearly shaken by the information, but he was a soldier, used to getting orders. "And I'd be able to help fellow Christians, to save them from the Caesar's jails and martyrdom?" "Yes. Your faith must needs to survive. One day, Rome will bow down to the Cross." "Then take me, Balthazar. I am ready to serve the Lamb and his angels." He stood up and looked up at the angel. "Yes." It was a whole new sensation, taking a human body. He felt small and oddly fragile, not to mention having only one head was weird, but still, it was somehow comfortable, like going home. The light vanished and Balthazar looked at his reflection in a nearby fountain. He liked it. It took time to get full control of his new form, but soon it felt like a second skin. When he returned to Heaven, after Constantin's conversion, he let Caelius die in peace - the man had served him for nearly three hundred years. Balthazar was with him, his true form watching over his vessel, somewhere in the swamps of Dartmoor. Yet a second time came when Caelius took him into his body. Before Balthazar escaped from Heaven, he visited the Roman and hinted at his plans. Caelius begged him to use him again - who could ever take him in more glad? And so it came that Balthazar resurrected his first and favourite vessel, hoping never to be part with him again. Sometimes he suspects Caelius disapproves his recent lifestyle, but he never complains.
I, Balthazar, have read the SITE PLOT and RULES and hereby agree to follow them, and stay true to the guidelines set by the site staff and to the ideals set in Supernatural.
