Welcome to SU: Legacy, a next-gen Supernatural RP that takes place in the year 2040. The Men of Letters has expanded to include three base locations across the continental US. Angels and demons have gone mostly dormant but there are still supernatural evils lurking in the shadows. The legacies could use your help. Are you in?

Full Name: Jacqueline Lynn Lazzara Preferred Name or Nickname:Jax. Never ever Jacqueline or Jacki, always Jax. Original/Canon:Original Age:23 Date of Birth:March 1st 1988 Main Character Classification: Human. Character Type:Hunter Power(s):Nothing preternaturally remarkable, just knows her way around the battle ground and is decent enough with computer hacking. Sexuality:Undecided. She's never really given it much thought. Side:Good Hometown:Toledo, Oh Current Residence:Anywhere and everywhere. Mainly out of dingy hotels or her car.
Eye Color: Grey Hair Color: Naturally a brunette but it's been bottle black ever since she hit fifteen. Height: 5'6 Body Type: Slender and fit. Distinguishing Marks: Small scar on her leg from a childhood injury, another scar on the left side of her neck from a hunting job. Tattoos and Piercings: A lip ring and an anti-possession tattoo above her heart. (You would think all hunters would have this, amirite?) Vehicle (if you wish): Teal 1965 Mustang.
Personal Style (write a short paragraph): Jax's style is mostly for comfort. 9 out of 10 times she can be found in a pair of blue jeans with the knees worn out and a black tank top, with a pair of scuffed combat boots. Her long black hair is normally tied up into a messy ponytail, but she does like to indulge in make up such as eyeliner, eyeshadow, things along those lines, in order to keep in touch with her feminine side. If the weather calls for it, she'll throw on a heavy hoody or coat, but prefers the warmer climates. Ever the good little huntress, Jax does own a small collection of women's suits and nicer outfits, for the occasions that the case calls for them. The only jewelry she wears is a thin chained locket around her neck with her mother & father's picture in one side and her sister's in the other.
Likes (3 at least): Worn jeans Relaxing in a bubble bath every so often Cupcakes Her car
Dislikes (3 at least): Someone getting the jump on her Snakes Sleeping cramped in her car Know-it-alls
Strengths (3 at least): She's a born fighter Can hack her way through a lot (not all) of software and blockers Determination
Weaknesses (3 at least): Reckless Impatient Reading Latin. She can recite certain things from memory, but put it in front of her on pen and paper? Forget about it.
Fears: Snakes, large groups of people, dying before she is ready to go.
Biggest Secret(s): Having been brought up to believe everything is cut and dry, good or evil, no in between, Jax has often pondered this in her adult years. She's starting to realize that maybe there are some Grey spots out there and once or twice, this has made her rethink a kill. More and more it's on her mind and eventually, it will start to seep through and effect her judgments and jobs.
Personality (write a decent paragraph): Jax is just your average, every day woman. Except for the fact that she was trained to hunt down and kill the things that go bump in the night, of course. So not really your average woman at all. Jax has...issues with large groups of people, though if the numbers are small, she does fine. Quiet and keeps to herself before she gets to know someone, becoming bossy and brass once she is comfortable with them.
She can be loud and opinionated when she wants to be, and often behaves in reckless and impulsive ways, despite this, she is a good hunter. Well, good enough to still be alive at least. She hasn't honed up on her fighting skills, but spends a good majority of her down time trying to improve. She finds it hard to trust, suspecting that everyone and everything has ulterior motives, even if they themselves don't know it at first.
But really? Deep down, Jax is a lone wolf who just wants to make a connection with another living being again.
Family and Friends:Father: Christopher Lazzara- deceased Mother: Alice Lazzara-deceased Sister (Twin): Jennifer Lazzara-deceased
Enemies and Rivals:No one in particular, yet. Just every one and everything on the baddies side
History: On March 1st 1989, two twin girls were born to Christopher and Alice Lazzara, currently residing in Toledo, Ohio. Prior to the birth of their daughters, both Christopher and Alice were hunters themselves, traveling around the world, ganking the things that nightmares were made of. Then came the news that Alice was pregnant. It didn't take long for the mother and father to be to decide that it was time to hang up their guns and make a life for themselves and their coming daughters, so this is exactly what they did. But, have you ever known a hunter who was able to get out of the life? The first eight years of the little girls lives were pretty much picture perfect. Mommy cooked dinner, Daddy tucked them in at bedtime and read them stories. They were loved and doted upon and both parents could hardly believe their good fortune. Although, after years of fighting demons and spirits, they were a little paranoid to say the least. Devils traps were drawn beneath carpets, sigils hidden behind paintings on the walls. The girls were never allowed out of sight and each night after his family went to bed, Christopher salted the doors and windows, just to be on the safe side.
So imagine his surprise when it was just a simple car accident that killed Jennifer and left Alice in shambles. With the death of the youngest twin, on the eve of her ninth birthday, the family fell apart. Jax, young enough to know what happened, but not quite understand everything, was befuddled as to why her mother locked herself in her bedroom day after day, refusing to come out. Christopher tried to hold himself together for his eldest daughter, but she could still sense the cracks in his composure.
On the year anniversary of Jennifer's death, Alice took her own life, further destroying the Lazzara's family dynamic. Christopher felt useless and he wasn't sure what to do. He needed to take his mind off of things and that's when he decided if leading a normal, every day life was so dangerous, there was no reason he couldn't go back to his hunters life, as long as he taught Jax how to protect herself.
And that's exactly what he did. Christopher took on jobs by himself, leaving Jax in motel rooms as he did so, making sure she was armed with the basics, her laptop and study material. While her father hunted, Jax busied herself on reading up on the things he left her to study. Spells, sigils, traps, and of course, as much information as he could gather on the things she would be up against, as well as the things she would be learning if she were in school.
In between jobs, Christopher quizzed Jax on both the supernatural and her academics. When she was twelve, she shot her first gun and was a surprisingly good shot. He taught his daughter how to fight, both hand to hand and with the weapons, the two of them practicing for hours in empty fields and any locations he deemed suitable.
Her first hunt was with her father was your average, run of the mill avenging spirit who was attacking those who wronged her in life. It went well, the spirit put to rest after her bones were burned and salted.
Comforted by the fact that his daughter had performed so well in the ghost hunt, Christopher took her on her second job within a week of the first. It was supposed to be a pair of vampire women, preying on single, well to do bachelors in a small town. Instead, it turned out to be an entire nest and a powerful one at that. In the midst of all the confusion, Christopher was bitten. And it was Jax who, with tears streaming down her face, had to cut off his head.
For weeks, she secluded herself in the motel they had been staying at, staring at the locket her father had given her the week before, questioning her line of work. Until one night, she had a dream of her father, urging her to continue, leaving her with one last thought:
All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.
Jax never knew if the dream was just an act of an overactive imagination, or if it was something more, but it gave her the push she needed to continue on.

RP Sample (required): "Holcomb Woods... What a joke..." Jax scoffed to herself, tearing a bite from the burger she held in one hand, fiddling with the dials on the radio with her other. She had been sitting out here in her car since midnight, waiting for something, anything. And so far, nada. Earlier, when she had first arrived, she had done some EMF readings, but the meter had barely spiked. Still, she stuck it out, remember the hysteria in the woman's voice when she had interviewed her earlier in the day.
"Agent, I'm telling you, something took Henry," Blue eyes watered as the blonde grabbed Jax's arm, imploring her to go look for him.
"He had to go through the woods to get to the convenience store. That was two nights ago!" Her voice spiked, emphasizing the word two.
"Ma'am, are you sure he just isn't out joyriding with some buddies or trying to tie off a bender?" Jax asked, scribbling in the notebook she held.
"Of course not, Agent Romero, my Henry isn't like that!" The woman declared, acting as if it were the most offensive thing anyone had ever said to her.
"Alright, alright. I'll go check it out. Holcomb Woods, you said?" Jax asked, giving the woman the most reassuring smile she could muster.
"Yes, yes." The woman said, giving Jax instructions on how to get there.
And now here Jax was, three in the morning and not a sight to be seen. Normally, she wouldn't have picked up a case like this, but it was close to her hometown and she knew the local legend of these woods. Curiosity had driven her to find out if it was true or not.
The way the story went, the one that everyone claimed was the reason for these woods to be haunted, was that a crazy bus driver driving the kids to the elementary school, went off the deep end, drove the bus into these woods and killed every child on board before offing himself. Jax herself had never believed it, but she DID believe the story about the man hanging himself in the woods, considering it was all over the local papers when she was a child. Either way, here she was and nothing was going on. Tossing the burger's wrapper behind her into the backseat, Jax sighed and leaned back in her chair, closing her eyes for a few moments. "What a waste of time..." She said to herself. She strongly suspected this was a case of ol' Henry going out for a pack of "smokes", never to return again. With another sigh, she sat back up, reaching into the backpack on the passenger seat, grabbing her EMF recorder. "Might as well give it one more try." She stepped out of the car, holding the EMF reader in front of her as she did a quick sweep on the immediate area. Pretty much the same results as earlier on in the night. A few spikes, but nothing to be alarmed about.
As she headed back to her car, in the distance she thought she heard the sound of an engine revving. Getting inside the car, she turned the headlights and stereo off, straining her ears to hear. That was definitely the sound of an approaching car in the distance. Her first thought was the bus. Maybe the stories about the kids and the crazed bus driver were true. But after another second, a white Honda came into focus and she realized it wasn't a murdering psychotic ghostly bus driver, but just some kids coming out for a cheap thrill and quick scare.
"Well, might as well make this night worth it for someone," She said with a slight grin, flipping her headlights back on, pushing her foot all the way down on the gas. There were no hunting's here, but it didn't hurt to keep some legends alive.
