Welcome to SU: Legacy, a next-gen Supernatural RP that takes place in the year 2040. The Men of Letters has expanded to include three base locations across the continental US. Angels and demons have gone mostly dormant but there are still supernatural evils lurking in the shadows. The legacies could use your help. Are you in?
Giving credit where credit is due. A big thank you to all the coders at PBS and various resource sites for any codes, plug-ins and templates.
Thanks to Nick @ Fidelius for the fabulous mini-profile. Everything else was created by our own staff. If we missed someone please let us know.
We don't own Supernatural, we just enjoy it's awesomeness. Thanks Eric Kripke for creating it, all the writers/producers for putting out a great show and the CW for keeping it on the air for almost 10 years now!

Tattoos and Piercings: N/A Vehicle (if you wish): A 1964 Volkswagen Bus, her pride and joy. The vehicle itself shows obvious signs of aging (rust, a couple dents here and there), but Maddy keeps it in good running condition. The vehicle itself has a hippie painted on it, his hands grasping the front lights of the car. All along the sides are peace signs and galaxies. It certainly draws attention to itself when it rolls down the streets, but Mad Dee loves the thing.
Personal Style (write a short paragraph):Mad Dee is usually seen wearing a hat of some sort, be it a fedora or top hat. She dresses a bit oddly for the general public, usually making sure each outfit has some sort of artistic meaning behind it. In her home, however, a t-shirt and short shorts are as fancy she as she gets. She only owns two pairs of shoes, one being black combat boots and the other being black heels with white spats. Mad Dee always has her pentagram necklace on, but it's the only thing about her that would give away the fact that she was a witch.
Likes (3 at least): Music, hats, talking with people and learning their stories, yoga, and tea
Dislikes (3 at least): Cruel people, drinking, sports, sour foods, and being treated like a child.
Strengths (3 at least): Very good with protective magics, good at getting things out of people, does very well under pressure
Weaknesses (3 at least): Very much a pacifist, deathly afraid of the dark, other than protective magic, she has no way to defend herself.
Fears:Mad Dee is deathly afraid of the dark. She has to always have some form of light in sight, or she completely panics. Her panic attacks usually start with her freezing in place, to frantic calling out, to a nervous breakdown that usually results in her laughing maniacally just to hear her own voice. She gets antsy around knives, but doesn't freak out if she's around them.
Biggest Secret(s): Other than the fact that she's a witch, Maddy hides the fact that she can visit the astral plain from anyone other than the people closest to her. A gift and a curse, Mad Dee is highly attuned to the astral plain. This allows her to sense spirits with relative ease, and occasionally hear big news if the spirits and minor gods are restless. Mad Dee can go into a deep meditative state to clearly communicate with spirits and minor gods, but this puts her into a very vulnerable position. If she is physically disturbed when in this state, she could suffer from a variety of problems. If the disturbance is something little, like a tap, then her magic will cease to work for a good month, and her mind will often go haywire. If she is hurt or moved to another location while in this meditative state, she will most likely fall into a coma, have a susceptibility of being possessed, or even die. This ability seems to draw spirits to her. ((Please tell me if this needs to be moved.))
Personality (write a decent paragraph):Mad Dee is an odd, but kind person. She has been known to say seemingly random, and usually useless, things out of the blue. It isn't uncommon to see her staring into space or mouthing random words into the air. She is however, very kind. Mad Dee is the kind of person who would get run over for a dog, or give the last cash she had on her to a homeless person. It is because of this that she doesn't take kindly to people that are rude or cruel.
The only time Mad Dee truly gets angry at some one is if they are being either of the above. If she sees someone being picked on, or hurt, the witch won't hesitate to verbally crucify their attacker. Mad Dee hates losing her temper, however, and tries to avoid it at all costs.
Being a witch, she is pretty used to the idea of the supernatural occurrences that happen. Although she doesn't go out and hunt 'monsters' herself, she is happy to help any hunter that comes by her way.
Mad Dee seems to have an odd aversion to knives and dark places, although she is fine in the presence of snakes and various other undesirable things.
Family and Friends: Mother - Abusive. Alive, but Maddy hasn't talked with her in years. Father - Deceased. She never saw much of her father, but he was the only thing keeping her mother from going over the edge.
Enemies and Rivals: Demons, anyone/thing that seriously messes with her friends.
History:Mad Dee Hatter was born into the name Leah Hurley, in a small town in East Texas. A child with a huge imagination, Leah enjoyed drawing and singing. Her passion, however, was magic. She had always wanted to believe in something more powerful than herself, and God didn't seem to have the answers. It wasn't until her teen years that Mad Dee got into the actual 'league' of magic, however. Her father worked on computers for a living, and didn't have much time for his only child. Her mother, however, worked at home. Mad Dee's mother was an alcoholic. As a child, her mother would often abuse her, sometimes coming at her with a knife. Her father was oblivious as to what was going on, all the way until his unexpected death in a car crash.
After her father's death, Mad Dee's mother drank more and became more abusive. Her mom got a job during the night as a janitor at an events center, but was always home when Mad Dee got home from school. To avoid as much abuse as she could, Mad Dee would always run up to her room, lock her door, and blast her Alice In Wonderland VHS as loud as she could to block out the sound of her mother. Her teen years were filled with the ritual of coming home and blasting the movie, as well as the occasional beating if her mother caught her.
Mad Dee got into witchcraft in high school, when she came across some occult books at her local library. Enraptured by the idea of a way to escape everyday life, and perhaps even improve it, Mad Dee was soon obsessed with her magickal studies. She seemed to have an ability to pick up on things that other people couldn't, but she didn't look into the possibility of astral plain calling until she was twenty one.
At age sixteen, on the anniversary of her father's death, Mad Dee's mother had caught her before she was able to reach her bedroom. The usual beating wasn't in store for the teen. Her mother had decided to take a knife to Mad Dee, slashing at her madly while screaming about how it was Mad Dee's fault that her father had died. Luckily, their neighbor heard the combined screams of the women and called the cops.
Mad Dee got out of the fight with defensive wounds covering her arms and hands, but a few strikes had hit their target at her chest. Mad Dee was in the hospital for two months just to recover. When she was released, she bought a broken down van with a hippie painted on it, requested name change forms, and ran away to Dallas, Texas. She named herself after the fictional character that had 'comforted' her in her childhood, a way to remember and move on at the same time.
Her name actually got her a job working at an Alice in Wonderland themed bar in Dallas, where she works now. She is often found serving drinks, but occasionally gets onstage to sing when "White Rabbit" is requested. She met her first hunter there, when he was on a job to kill a couple of vampires in the city. She gave him her contact information and told him to spread it around. Mad Dee now helps any hunters that walk into her bar, and always keeps a box of salt under the counter.
Other Details You'd Like to Add: Mad Dee lives in an apartment complex in South Dallas, near the bar. Her magickal items are stashed in her closet, under her favorite top hat that stands at six inches tall. She meditates every Thursday, when she knows her neighbors are gone.

RP Sample (required):The last thing that Mad Dee needed right now was some self-righteous, drunk hunter hitting on her.
"Little lady, why don't I show you my gun collection? What time do you get off tonight?" The witch smiled tensely, shaking her head.
"Look, love. I'm sure it's quite impressive, but I'm busy tonight." She glanced over at a woman waving her over at the end of the bar. "Excuse me." Hunters that passed through didn't usually seem to have any romantic interest in her. If anything, they disliked having to come to a witch for help. It didn't quite make sense to Mad Dee, how they could blindly go to a psychic, but pull out their sawed-off when the word 'witch' was uttered. Were they that different, really? All witches weren't bad. "What can I get you, love?"
"Bud Light for me, margarita for my friend here." Mad Dee took a moment to examine the woman ordering drinks. She was pretty. Tall, blonde hair, full lips.
"Got it." The witch set to work at making the drinks, glancing around the bar every now and again. The whole place was rather eclectic. The walls were painted black, and red lights hung from the ceiling. The tables were all card suites, the chairs numbered Ace through to King. Overall, the perfect place to be a freak. Mad Dee adjusted her fedora before giving the drinks to the pretty blonde.
A scream rang out from the back of the building. People didn't seem to notice the sound, and continued on as if nothing had happened. 'Great. A drunk hunter and a spirit. Just what I need.' Mad Dee sighed and jumped the counter, sending some drunk jocks into fits of inebriated laughter. The screaming had come from around the women's restroom, an odd place for a spirit to haunt. Opening the curtain to the small hall that lead to the bathrooms, Mad Dee came face to face with a pale face, dripping wet and sickly looking. The spirit screamed again, and then proceeded to spew water onto the waitress's face.
Tonight was going to be a long night.
