Welcome to SU: Legacy, a next-gen Supernatural RP that takes place in the year 2040. The Men of Letters has expanded to include three base locations across the continental US. Angels and demons have gone mostly dormant but there are still supernatural evils lurking in the shadows. The legacies could use your help. Are you in?
Giving credit where credit is due. A big thank you to all the coders at PBS and various resource sites for any codes, plug-ins and templates.
Thanks to Nick @ Fidelius for the fabulous mini-profile. Everything else was created by our own staff. If we missed someone please let us know.
We don't own Supernatural, we just enjoy it's awesomeness. Thanks Eric Kripke for creating it, all the writers/producers for putting out a great show and the CW for keeping it on the air for almost 10 years now!
His foot itched on the peddle of the Sunfire, silence filled the vehicle in an almost uncomfortable fashion. Only person he cares about right now in the passenger seat, and he couldn't think of a reason why he wasn't in contact with her for an entire month, for Christ sakes she was technically his wife. It should have been enough, he wanted to but the state he was in made him think that it would only do her harm. She would want to help, throw everything on the line for him and if he screwed up she would be the one to get hurt. He wasn't himself, he was angry, volatile, the world around him wanted to make him it's bitch but he would fuck it right back if it dared crossing him.
He couldn't concentrate on the Seal, it was hard. All he could think about was his mother and getting her back, he's done his research and there were plenty of options laid out before him he just wasn't sure which one was the best. He could call in a favor from Castiel but he hardly doubted the angel of the Winchesters would really come to his aid if he wanted something as trivial as his mother back from the dead in spite of the world ending around them. Waste of resources and he'd most certainly think so.
The car burned rubber on the highway as it approached Cleveland, wouldn't be long now and they could get to work trying to protect this sacrifice. Hopefully it wouldn't be too difficult, this was a Seal however and one of the few left to be broken. Really, what's from keeping them from breaking a seal that wasn't on this list. Out of the six hundred and sixty six seals only sixty six need to be broken. The odds were against them from the get go, and if he didn't know any better he thought it was deliberate.
The Cleveland skyline was in sight, it was a marvelous city filled with rich an unique culture. Culture usually meant food, and Adam was hungry. He wasn't sure though if it was his stomach or Ryanne growling under her breath at him the entire time. Things were complicated, and he didn't really want to be in a fight with Mrs. Milligan when the world was close to the apocalypse.
"Listen, I haven't called because we've all been busy. I've been wrapped up in Hunts, and I've been trying to find a way to bring back my mom. So, let me have it, scold me, yell at me, I deserve it. Lets just-- It bothers me when you're mad at me, so let's get it over with." He swallowed thickly, hoping and praying that this would be short if something sparked within his wife. They needed to be on their game with this one, it wouldn't be like the Cherub. They needed to save this sacrifice, save them all. No one left behind. They weren't Hunters that entered the city limits, they were heroes. Big. Damn. Heroes.
As soon as she slid into the passenger seat, she adjusted the chair and propped her feet up onto the dashboard. The car was fairly old and it smelt a little funny but Ryanne cared little, she was concerned about the man next to her and then on top of that, worried about the Seal.
She glanced at him from the corner of her eye and frowned. Ry hadn't seen him nor spoken to him in over a month. Which, she supposed, wasn't that long but considering they are married and used to talk to each other practically every single day and something was clearly bothering him.
Sighing she managed to pull her gaze away from Adam and onto the scenery flying by the window. Her priority on this trip was the Seal and saving an innocent in Cleveland, Ohio. 'Sixty six bloody seals need to be broken to release the Devil and seven are remaining. Brilliant.'
They'd been driving for God knows how long, empty roadsides started to fill with concrete buildings, getting taller, and denser the closer they got to Cleveland. It was all becoming too much and it was getting closer too soon. She shifted in her seat turning she she could completely face her spouse.
Her gaze settled on his face and traced his features, each dip and slope of his face. She pillowed her face on her hand and got comfortable for the rest of the journey, her eyes never straying from Adam, her thoughts never straying from the life they had to save.
Ryanne's stomach grumbled, startling her because she hadn't realised she was hungry but apparently it startled Adam into talking which she was grateful for because the silence was verging on uncomfortable and she didn't like it.
"Listen, I haven't called because we've all been busy. I've been wrapped up in Hunts, and I've been trying to find a way to bring back my mom. So, let me have it, scold me, yell at me, I deserve it. Lets just-- It bothers me when you're mad at me, so let's get it over with."
Ryanne moved to sit properly in her seat, her feet dropping off the dash and to the floor with a thud. She readjusted her seat and stared out the windscreen, "What do you want me to say, Adam? That I'm angry at you for not calling? For not letting me know you're still alive? We've all been busy because, hello, apocalypse and even with that going on as well as regular hunts, I still managed to call and leave a message." She let out a deep breath and pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Look, I'm not angry but I am disappointed. It just seems as if you don't trust me," A dry laugh escapes her and she shakes her head. "It's the first time I've heard about you wanting to bring your mother back."
Her eyebrows crinkled in thought and concern as she reached a hand out to gently rest on his arm, her voice dropping in tone to convey concern,"Are you sure it is wise to bring you mother back? She's gone, Adam and she's in a much better place than we are."
Ryanne knew she must've sounded insensitive and she certainly didn't want to fight, especially when they had to work together. "Look, I don't want an argument. I'm just upset that you didn't trust me enough to confide in me. We should focus on our mission."
With that said, she retracted her hand and turned to look out the passenger window, hoping to get to Cleveland and their motel as soon as possible. They had a job to do.
