Welcome to SU: Legacy, a next-gen Supernatural RP that takes place in the year 2040. The Men of Letters has expanded to include three base locations across the continental US. Angels and demons have gone mostly dormant but there are still supernatural evils lurking in the shadows. The legacies could use your help. Are you in?
Giving credit where credit is due. A big thank you to all the coders at PBS and various resource sites for any codes, plug-ins and templates.
Thanks to Nick @ Fidelius for the fabulous mini-profile. Everything else was created by our own staff. If we missed someone please let us know.
We don't own Supernatural, we just enjoy it's awesomeness. Thanks Eric Kripke for creating it, all the writers/producers for putting out a great show and the CW for keeping it on the air for almost 10 years now!
Night was falling as they finally arrived in Lewiston, Maine. It was a massive and intensely long drive from Los Angeles, but they thought it best not to put a claustrophobic Pope on a plane and suspend him in the air with nowhere to go. Nakita packed up the back seat of her Ford F-150 with everything from guns, ammo, clothing, food, and other supplies they would need for demon hunting. Pope's chopper was secured in the bed of the truck.
Thankfully it wasn't the full moon yet. It soon would be, however, and that's when this Seal would have to be broken. Kit and Pope needed to stop it from happening. Not only that, but they had to get Pope back out of town in a hurry so he wouldn't go furry and eat half of it.
It was Pope's turn to drive. Kit was curled up in the passenger's seat asleep. Normally, no one was allowed to drive her truck, not even her own parents, who had bought it for her. She had growled at him at the suggestion, but she couldn't stay awake. It was two days into the road trip and coffee just wasn't working anymore. He offered to drive so she could sleep, and extremely reluctant, she handed him the keys. She had planned on not sleeping, but watching him to make sure he didn't hurt her baby, but fatigue won and she was out in no time. This was his second shift of driving. He'd proven himself worthy of driving her truck so she didn't make a fuss the second time.
They had called prior to the trip to make hotel reservations, and the only room they could find was a honeymoon cabin out in the middle of nowhere. "Great," Kit had muttered to herself. It was in a little forest set on the banks of the Androscoggin River. Least if anything went down the closest cabin was at least a mile away on the other side of the river. The day that the Seal needed to be broken had fallen on the same weekend that the Midcoast Symphony Orchestra was playing, which explained the lack of rooms. The owners of the cabin assumed they were in-love newlyweds who avidly enjoyed classical music to be traveling such a long way. It got them the cabin for a week at half price so they didn't argue.
The plan on how to get close to the local werewolf pack was still in debate. They still had a few days to figure it out, though, which also gave them time to scout the area and become familiar with it. Kit could memorize the smells so they wouldn't get lost should a fight ensue. She had a thought as they were leaving LA that made her chuckle and say, "I feel like I'm going on a case with Harry Dresden, I'll be Terra West."

It was good to see Nakita again; he hadn’t seen her since spending nearly a month with her in Los Angeles after they met. He still owed her so much, he didn’t forget the debt of generosity her. Driving and letting her sleep seemed like the descent thing to do. It did take some convincing on his part, and of course Pope needed all the windows down. If all automobiles were like this then he could get used to driving, it certainly was easier on his, um, package. Plus it had a radio, but sadly Spanish radio seemed to be scarce. So instead, he settled for listening to the audio books she had. It was a good story so far, some wizard fighting demons. They been listening to them for days, they were already two-thirds of the way through the fourth novel, Pope seemed a little addicted.
It was late when he pulled up to the cabin. Pope pulled into a parking spot and turned off the engine. It was quaint, cozy even. Honeymoon suite she said, Pope chuckled at the thought and glanced back at Nakita’s sleeping form. He watched her for a moment before he reached out and placed a hand on her shoulder and gently shook her awake.
The books had been playing for so long that they started to invade Kit's dreams. Monsters of all kinds lurking in the shadows while some freakishly tall guy in a leather duster beat them about the head and neck with a large stick. It was amusing to say the least, at least until he came for her.
Her white fur was dirty and matted as she hid in a forest of sticky pine. There were pine needles stuck to her all over, which was good for camouflage at least. Except for her eyes. Her bright blue eyes shone against the green and brown of her disguise. She tried to keep them closed enough to hide them, but still be able to see. Apparently, it hadn't worked as he was heading right for her.
His leather duster was billowing behind him as he yelled incoherently, a twirling silver blue light above his head. She tried to run, whimpering as her fur tugged and pulled as her limbs and muscled jumped into action. She wasn't fast enough, and she could see the silver blue light heading right for her. Just before it could hit her, she felt a hand grab her shoulder and whirl her away, a loud snarl as she was lifted up, a great beast sliding between her and Crazy Tall Guy.
And she was awake, with Pope shaking her gently by the shoulder. She blinked her eyes open and looked around quickly, finding the radio still on and reaching out to shut the narrator up by turning it off. Kit rubbed at her eyes and stretching, looking around outside the truck at the forest and river setting. It was nice, secluded, which would come in handy.
Then she remembered where they were. They were here to stop a Seal from breaking. They had a few days to prepare, and they had gotten a cabin to stay in. The honeymoon cabin, the only room available for miles. She wondered if they would be lucky enough to have two beds instead of one big heart shaped one. Even if they didn't, it wouldn't be a total loss sleeping next to Mr. Big Strong and Handsome....
She coughed and looked over at Pope, "Nice driving. We should get everything inside and get cleaned up."
