Claire drove up to a Motel 6, sighing as she stared at the place in front of her. Why did she hve to stay at dumps like this while she hunted?? Oh yeah, because she was running low on money!
"It'll have to do..." she muttered to herself as she parked and got out to go to the office. She walked in and called for anyone that worked there. An older man walked in and asked her what kind of room she needed. "King..." she told him with a nod as he asked cash or credit. She handed him a Mastercard and then he handed her the key. She took it from him and left the room, going over to the car and getting her black duffel bag and an extra gun with silver bullets for protection. She walked around to find her room and finally found it there. Right as she was about to put the key in the lock, she heard a noise behind her. Her whole body tensed on edge, and she froze, her hand flying to her gun in her jacket. She whirled around to face the darkness. "Who's there?" she asked with a tightened jaw.
Ruby watched the girl walk out of the motel and to her car. She saw her pull out a black duffel bag, and something else. She watched from a safe distance, hidden in darkness, then the girl walked over to the door to one of the rooms. It was now or never.
Taking a step forward, she saw the girl freeze. Her hand shot up to her jacket, and the girl whirled around to face her direction.
"Who's there?"
Ruby walked out of the darkness that shrouded her, eying the scared looking girl. She saw the gun in her hand, and a slight smirk appeared. Her sources had been right. This girl was definetly a hunter.

Claire's eyes narrowed as she looked at the other woman who approached her. She had brunette hair and dark eyes with a smirk on her face. Claire's grip on her gun relaxed just a bit, but she still kept her wary gaze on the newcomer.
"Who are you? What do you want?" she asked calmly, taking a deep breath and readying herself with whatever was coming. "Peace? Is there such a thing anymore?" She frowned and shook her head. "And I have a name...it's not girlie..." She bit her tongue, remembering that her parents raised her to be respectful. "I'm sorry...I don't know you and you just com walking up to me...I was surprised and reacted on instinct. Didn't mean to be rude..." She tightened her jaw and finally let go of her gun, wondering who this stranger was and why she was talking to Claire out of anyone else at this motel.
Ruby couldn'thelp but chuckle as the girl spoke. Just like a hunter, go from one question to the next. She took a step closer, looking the girl over.
" I'm a friend."
"And I have a name...it's not girlie..."
Ruby raised her eyebrow at the girl, her smile never leaving. This girl had spunk, she'd give her that.
"I'm sorry...I don't know you and you just com walking up to me... I was surprised and reacted on instinct. Didn't mean to be rude..."
Ruby smiled at her, and when she finally let the gun down, she spoke to the young hunter.
" Don't worry about that too much. I'm used to dealing with smartass hunters, believe me."
She sighed thinking of Dean, which also made her think of Sam. She wondered what was happening since the last time she saw them. Quickly pushing the thought out of her mind, she turned her attention back to the girl in front of her.
" So, if you don't like being called "girlie", what is your name?"

"I'm a friend..." she other woman had told her flat out. Claire felt inside somewhere that it was the truth and blinked a few times. She watched this woman smile at her and started to relax just a bit more. Her eyes never wavered from the newcomer though. When she said the comment on smartass hunters, she almost laughed aloud, her eyes brightening just a bit. If she could find more hunters, she would find her mother's killer creature and kill it once and for all. She swore she'd never stop until she killed that abomination. She dropped her hazel eyes from the girl's face to look around warily, and then her eyes moved back to look at the woman carefully.
"So you know more people like me?" Claire asked hopefully. The other woman asked her name. "Claire...my name's Claire...who are you and what are you doing here? How did you find me?" Her stomach growled at her, and she sighed. "I'm hungry...I want pie..." she muttered under her breath.
The girl seemed very nervous. But she seemed to releax a bit soon. Looking around, she soon turned back to look at Ruby, and a hopeful look became evident.
"So you know more people like me?"
Ruby laughed, looking the girl over. She shrugged her shoulders. Yes, she knew other hunters. A few of them, but that wasn't the reason she was talking to this girl.
" More or less."
Ruby listened to the girl continue to question her, and smiled. She had yet to figure out who, or more technically WHAT, she was.
" My name is Ruby." She looked around them, then turned back to the girl, a slight smirk now tracig her lips. " And I'm here because I heard a hunter was in town. Was hoping for someone else, but ended up followin the trail to you."
Ruby heard the girl's stomach growl, and her smirk became an amused grin.
"I'm hungry...I want pie..."
Ruby couldn't help but chuckle when she heard the girl speak under her breath. If only Dean was here. He and this girl would get along great.
" I could go for a plate fries myself."
Ruby took a step closer to the girl, not to close though. She liked her new bod, and didn't much want it to end up shot.
" But, food isn't why I decided to speak to you, Claire."

Claire smiled at the woman named Ruby and nodded in respect at her. When Ruby told her she was looking for someone else, her eyes narrowed slightly, not out of anger, but out of confusion. According to what she knew so far from coming here, she did not know of any other hunters in the area. She heard her chuckle after she commented about pie, and she smiled herself.
"Sorry...I love my pie...blueberry and lemon meringue are my favorites..." she stopped and made a face at herself. Why in hell would this woman want to know what kind of pie she liked? Yeah, Claire was losing it slowly...she laughed under her breath at the thought. When Ruby stepped closer, Claire glanced at her with a frown. Although she was relaxed somewhat, she still didn't trust a lot of people around her.
"But, food isn't why I decided to speak to you, Claire." Claire looked at her with even more confusion than before. Why this woman came walking up and picking her to speak with, she had no flippin clue, but Claire was going to find out...
"Then why are you talking to me? What do you want?" the questions poured out of her again, and she couldn't help it. Hunter instinct. "Is this about my jobs? Oh, wait...you're not from Texas, are you? I meant to tell someone about that car...I just never got the chance because I got a lead in another city and had to leave..." Her eyes were determined, angry at the fact that she still could not find her mother's murderer...whatever werewolf did it was still on the loose. "So...um...what's your reason for finding me?" she ran a hand through her hair and sighed, looking back at the other woman and needing straightforward answers. Claire was trying her best not to give any smartass comments because she was raised with respect and to give people the benefit of the doubt, but she still wondered what a random stranger was doing around here knowing all these hunters...she didn't seem like a hunter herself. Then, she realized the connection of this woman after thinking her name over in her mind. "Wait...Ruby...as in the demon Ruby? I've heard some hunters talk about you..."
Ruby listened to the girl ask question after question, and then start rambling on about some car from Texas. She smiled a her, not really for any real reason other than the fact that this girl wasn't much like any huner she had met.
"So...um...what's your reason for finding me?"
Ruby watched the woman. Watched her hand run through her hair as she sighed, she ran a hand through her hair and sighed, looking back at her. She watched her as she seemed to be lost in thought.
" I kind of found you by accident."
Ruby waited for the next string of million questions to pour out, but insted, then girl looked at her like a light bulb had gone off n her head.
"Wait...Ruby...as in the demon Ruby? I've heard some hunters talk about you..."
Ruby couldn't help but chuckle at that one. So the hutners where talking about her. Probably nothing good. A demon who helped a hunter, especially a Winchester, wasn't something they were going to like. Smirking at the girl, she closed her eyes, then opened them. Her eyes now pitch black, revealing what she really was, she spoke to the girl, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

Claire's eyes widened in shock, and fear was about to set in, but she knew underneath those black eyes there was some kind of good person there. Even though she was a demon, the other hunters told her she was not evil or vengeful like all other demons. She still debated whether to grab her gun again or not, but she stood frozen to the spot, feeling dumb that she could not see the demon when she first saw her walk up.
"Well, that's an obvious answer...Thanks...you know, black eyes are all the rage for normal people..." Claire said back sarcastically. Uh oh...smartass comment... "Um...yeah...how in the gravy can you find a person by accident? That was way too coincidental..." She went another way, a safer and nicer way of talking to this demoness. However, even through the wariness of seeing this woman for what she really was, she couldn't help but smile at herself. Most other girls would run screaming but she sat there and made jokes. God, was she a screwed up person!! "I am one messed up, smartass girl," she told Ruby with a smirk and a shake of her head. "Sorry for having to deal with me..."
"Well, that's an obvious answer...Thanks...you know, black eyes are all the rage for normal people..."
Ruby rolled her eyes, the black fading as her human eyes returned. Looking at the young girl in front of her, she spoke with her usual snarkiness.
" Yeah, because I'm SO normal that I care."
"Um...yeah...how in the gravy can you find a person by accident? That was way too coincidental..."
Ruby smiled. She kinda liked this girl. Definetly had the right attitude, not gonna take any crap. Wants to get straight to the point and know the facts, but ruby wasn't one to share. Demon, manipulative jsut came with the territory.
"I am one messed up, smartass girl," she told her with a smirk and a shake of her head. "Sorry for having to deal with me..."
Ruby chuckled at her comment.
" Oh, believe me. It's not gonna bother me." She took a step closer. " I deal with someone a lot more messed up, and who's a MUCH bigger smartass a majority of the time. And unlike you, he tried to kill me the first time we met."
Trying to be as pushy as she could without being too demony, Ruby held out her hand, motioning towards the door.
" We might want to take this little conversation inside." Nodding over to a family walking towards their direction, she raised her eyebrows. " Might be better to talk in private on certain matters."

Claire smirked at her after the normal caring comment and shook her head, her hair falling across her face. This demoness was actually pretty interesting, and Claire wanted to hear more...this girl had grabbed her attention after saying she needed to talk more privately. When she looked at the family, she nodded in agreement and got out her key to her room, motioning for Ruby to follow her into the room.
"Oh, really?" she smiled wide. "And who is worse to deal with than me?" She raised an eyebrow at the almost being killed comment Ruby made, and she laughed. "Well, that sucks...at least you're here and alive though...but come on in..." She opened the door and let Ruby go in first before shutting the door and turning on the lights. "Sorry if it's a bit messy...I've been here for a few days and have my hunting notes all set out..." She moved stuff off the chair so Ruby could sit down and then got out two bottles of water from her mini-fridge, tossing one to Ruby for courtesy sake, then taking a seat on her bed and looking at Ruby.
Ruby smiled when Claire motioned for her to follow her. Looking around, she followed Claire towards her room.
"Well, that sucks...at least you're here and alive though...but come on in..."
Ruby shrugged, thinking about what she was forced to do to even be here.
" Alive is a relative term."
Taking a step in, Ruby stopped moving when the door shut. She waited for the lights to come on, then cautiously looked around. It was better to be safe than sorry with hunters. Didn't need to walk into an traps. Seeing none, she walked further in, looking around at the scattered papers and general messiness of the room.
So I guess this messy thing is just a hunter thing...
"Sorry if it's a bit messy...I've been here for a few days and have my hunting notes all set out..."
Ruby watched the girl clear one of the chairs off, and then grab some bottled waters from a mini-fridge, tossing one to her. Ruby looked the water over, sitting it down. Looking over some of the notes and pages around her, Ruby glanced over at Claire.
" So, what's up with all this stuff? I don't know of anything that big going on anywhere near here."
Ruby looked her over. She had a reason for being here, but she felt it be better to take a more subtle approach to this.

"Yeah, well...let's just say I've been tracking this sucker for awhile and I haven't caught him yet..." she growled in frustration as she raked a hand through her hair like she always did when she was angry or worried. "Oh, all of those aren't for one thing...even if I hunt in one city, I keep the information from it in case of a reoccurrence or another town with the same thing...I'm paranoid about that kind of thing..." she shrugged with a smile. "Call it hunter instinct...I am always on edge with my so-called cases...like you saw when I almost pulled a gun on you earlier...but nothing extremely big is going on here, as far as I can tell...something that just started up about two months ago...looks like a poltergeist, but I can't tell for sure..." She looked at the notes herself and bit her lip in concentration, lost in a train of thought. "I just don't know what to do...if I should wait til it strikes again or make a guess as to where he'll go next...it just doesn't make sense...it's not stationary...and it's not making a pattern...just random places, random killings...I don't get it..." She finally looked at the woman with confusion. "Any ideas?"
