We don't own Supernatural, we just enjoy it's awesomeness. Thanks Eric Kripke for creating it, all the writers/producers for putting out a great show and the CW for keeping it on the air for almost 10 years now!
Ellen sighed as she got into the driver's seat of her pickup truck. Another long night at the Roadhouse was taking its toll. She was tired and all her muscles ached.
I'm getting more beat up doing this crap than I did when I was hunting full time, she thought.
The Roadhouse didn't have a full staff yet, despite the fact that it had been open for months now after they'd rebuilt it. Ellen was picking up a lot of the slack, and she wasn't sure she'd be able to do it much longer.
She sat in the truck for a moment with the engine running and the windows rolled down. Some country song was on the radio and she closed her eyes listening to it, resting.
A change in the light made her open her eyes and she gasped, surprised, as she saw someone - no, undoubtedly something standing in front of her truck, bathed in the yellow glow of her headlights.
It looked like a man, but Ellen had already assumed it wasn't, as was her habit, being a seasoned hunter. He wasn't particularly tall or handsome. Non-descript. Plain. Too easily overlooked.
"Oh, son of a..."
Ellen sighed and reached below the seat to pull out the shotgun she kept hidden there. She checked the barrel. It was loaded with two salt-rounds. She opened the glovebox and got a few more as the man approached the driver's side. She slid over toward the passenger side and aimed the gun, cradeling the butt tightly against her shoulder, her finger on the trigger.
"You take one step closer, my friend, you'll have a bullet someplace you don't want it," she assured him.
That was a lie, of course. A salt round wasn't like a normal bullet, and it wouldn't kill a human being. But if this guy was a human being he had nothing to worry about.

Veronique had been fallowing her nose for a while; the smell of something unusual had brought her to this place. Pulling off her bike helmet, and kicking down the bike stand, she sighed, it had lead her hear. It was nothing special this building, there were humans there, but what building doesn’t? Kicking a pick of rock from under the wheel of her bike, after getting off of the Harley with grace. ”And this is what I get for fallowing my nose.”
Letting her amber eyes drift, they finally landed on what she had been fallowing. It had the appearance of a man, though it did not smell human, Vicky just hoped it wasn’t a zombie, now this things she will run with the tail between her legs from.
Walkign over to it as the car who did have someone is it, came out with a shot gun, pointing at it. She let out a sigh of relief, it wasn’t her head the lady was taking off. But it a puzzled look Veronique moved around to take a good look at the mans face. The man was plain, it was just odd.
”Miss”Vicky said calmly.”Why would you want to shoot some random guy?”She asked trying to cover up her Romanian accent.
Ellen glared at the man over the barrel of the gun. He raised his hands slowly and grinned. If she hadn't suspected he was something unnatural before, that confirmed it. No normal human being smiled with a gun pointed at his head.
"Somethin' funny about this situation to you?" she asked.
Her gaze shifted as she saw movement out of the corner of her eye. She caught sight of a red-haired woman approaching and quickly returned her gaze to the man, still standing there with his arms raised, grinning like an idiot.
"Miss," said the redhead. "Why would you want to shoot some random guy?"
The man eyed the newcomer and his grin widened.
"Might wanna keep your distance, Red," Ellen said. "Somethin' tells me this guy isn't all that random." She nodded to the man, her brows knit in a hard expression. "Are you, sunshine?"
The man blinked and his eyes went black.
"Ooh. Got myself a seasoned hunter," he said mockingly. "What a shame. The younger ones are so much more fun."
Ellen fired a shot, hitting the man in the middle of the chest. He hissed and stumbled back.
"Hop in!" Ellen said to the redhead, nodding toward the passenger seat and keeping her gun trained on the demon.
And I was hoping to have a quiet night, she thought. I should know better by now.

Veronique got a slight wife f whatever the man was, now it was like he had a huge sign over himself saying demon. How stupid were these people. Demons can just think they can walk around thinking there kings of the world, so what is there a little hard to kill them. Once close enough she press her lips together and crossed her arms at the demon. The damn thing was smiling with the gun cocked at his brain, what an idiot.”Go home demon.”Vicky said in a cold hearted tone, pulling out her own gun.
At that moment Vicky wanted to go run and hide she had found herself not only a demon but a hunter too, great, but so far it seemed that the hunter was on her side.
Extending her arm with the gun outstretched towards the demon and grinned too, her eyes glowing brighter amber. ”Leave the hunter alone.” But before she could shoot, the other woman had shot first. Running over and jumping into the vehicle putting her gun away, she had other forms of weapons. Grinning to herself, her amber eyes never left the demon.
”Thank you hunter, but I’m afraid we not going to lose him all that fast.”
Ellen eyed the other woman as she pulled out a gun, saying 'go home, demon'. Ellen didn't have time to wonder how the woman knew what he was. She fired a salt round at the demon and it hit him in the stomach. He stumbled back and the redhead got into the truck.
"Thank you hunter, but I’m afraid we not going to lose him all that fast."
Ellen narrowed her eyes at the woman. So far she'd pegged the man for a demon, and Ellen for a hunter within three minutes of meeting them both. Ellen wondered if she was another hunter, or something else.
Ellen reached over to open the glove compartment and pulled out a bottle of holy water.
"Not tryin' to lose him, sweetheart," she said. "Just tryin' to get you to safety while he's distracted. Though, by the looks of that gun you're holdin' you don't need it."
Both doors to the truck opened suddenly and of their own accord, startling Ellen slightly as she pointed her gun, again, at the demon, letting the holy water fall onto the seat.
"We gotta get him around back," Ellen said quietly to the woman.
There were Devil's Traps placed all around the property, the closest and most discreet one being under the grass around the other side of the Roadhouse.
Ellen fired another round at the demon, but he dodged that one. She got out of the truck quickly, hoping to keep the demon's attention on her and away from the redhead.
"You think salt rounds are going to kill me?" the demon asked with a cackle, his eyes black.
"No," Ellen said. "But they hurt like a son of a bitch, don't they?"
She fired another shot and started running toward the other side of the building, hoping to lead him there.

Veronique watched the other woman with her amber eyes, and smiled. A well trained hunter to, prepared and all, though mind you if you are dealing with demons you want them gone the first time. Though there was no surprise when the other woman gave her an odd look, though the hunter probably just though she was one of them, but Vicky was usually on the receiving end of hunters.
”Me? You think I need to get to safety. Wow, I was going to say the same thing to you since your doing fine yourself. ” Vicky replied cocking her gun up, know the Demon was about to do something. It wasn’t` surprising when the door wee opened suddenly, quickly she check the bullets in the gun and smiled. Catching the bottle of only what she assumed was holy water; she putting it in her . Vicky could need that later.
”I can do that.Vicky replied ,nearly cackling about it. The demon had it coming. The hunter had a plan and all she was going to do was fallow it.
Slipping out the trunk she smiled her amber eyes sparkling.”Hey demon, over here. You’re not the only killer here.”She said firing four salt bullets at him, getting the demons attention. They would hurt. Once she saw the hunter running, she fallowed after her with ease. Catching up to her in no time.
As Ellen ran, she heard the red-head calling out, taunting the demon. Then she heard shots fired.
Oh, sweet Jesus, darlin', I hope you know what you're doin', she thought, glancing briefly over her shoulder to make sure the young woman was still standing before continuing on.
She heard footsteps following behind her as she rounded the corner. More than one set of feet from the sound of it.
Good, she thought.
They were all right where they needed to be.
Ellen ran past a large rock - almost a boulder, really. There was nothing too special about it, except that it was larger than other rocks scattered around. It was a landmark. Ellen ran past it and counted her steps. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine...
By the tenth step she would've been standing in the center of the Devil's Trap. She kept running, not looking back to alert the demon or the red-head. She didn't stop running until she heard the demon scream.
"Bitch!" he said, the word crisp and quick. And then, more drawn out and more forcefully: "YOU BIIIITTCH!!"
Ellen turned around with a smile on her face, the shotgun raised for cautionary purposes and aimed at the demon.
"Damn straight," she said to him. "You think I'm a bitch now, you're really not gonna like me in a minute."
Ellen nodded to the red-head. "Keep an eye on him, will ya? I gotta step inside for a minute. He should be secure, but keep the holy water handy in case he brought friends."
She eyed the demon and glanced around. These bastards didn't usually come alone.
"I won't be a minute," she said, and she headed quickly to the back door of the Roadhouse, digging the key out of her pocket.
It was a small key ring with only two small keys on it. One unlocked the Roadhouse doors, the other unlocked the safe. She set her shotgun down and leaned it against the building to unlock the door quickly. All the while listening for any sounds of distress from around her.
