Welcome to SU: Legacy, a next-gen Supernatural RP that takes place in the year 2040. The Men of Letters has expanded to include three base locations across the continental US. Angels and demons have gone mostly dormant but there are still supernatural evils lurking in the shadows. The legacies could use your help. Are you in?

We don't own Supernatural, we just enjoy it's awesomeness. Thanks Eric Kripke for creating it, all the writers/producers for putting out a great show and the CW for keeping it on the air for almost 10 years now!
It was almost dawn. The gold and purple that announced the new day began to slowly climb up that which was the edges of the world. Celeste had moved quickly from that strange creature that led her to the human that had blood that tasted of sludge. Her lips were stained, but it would lessen each time she nervously licked it. She found her old car in the parking lot of an abandoned building. She looked around before she opened the door and climbed in. Even though the windows were tinted she put barriers up to block out the world and the oncoming light. Her eyes closed and she slipped into the blessed oblivion that was dreamless sleep.
There was banging on the window, her eyes shot open and peered to the passenger side door. Her mind was not working correctly, the feral part had awakened before her rational mind. She smelled something delicious on the outside of the car. She opened the door and saw the cop standing outside. She tilted her head to the side, staring him directly in the eyes. She touched his hand and bade him enter. He fell into her coersion immediately. He climbed into the car and shut the door. She let him lay down and stratled him. She pulled in a lungful of his scent and grinned.
A hand went over his mouth and she bit him. She pulled on the blood, and even though she had just feasted it felt as though this blood was giving her new life. It was delicious. It was filled with hope, love, righteousness. It tasted so much better than that sludge the sex-offender had, this was like a cold beer after a long day at work. The doors locked, the sun reaching its zenith for the day, Celeste fell back asleep. Her primalistic mind at peace.
The night had just started. The sun had finally gone down. The day seemed to drag on forever Luke thought to himself. He had caught his brood sisters sent in this hole they called Indiana. He walked up to her car. She would just be getting up from her slumber. He wondered if she had changed at all. When Felicitus had left her for greener pastiers he hadn't talked much about their falling out, but ever since that bastard Bram wrote his book it turned into a vampire hunting manual. Felicitus may be dead. Being the second oldest vampire in the brood made Luke the new boss. He wanted to get Celeste on his side. With her he could be the rightful heir to Felicitus' throne.
He knocked on the window seeing the police car down the road. He would wait for her to come out and play. Time to see if his time it took him to find her was worth his time.
Celeste jolted awake, her primal side content. She looked at the body beneath her and sighed. She had to figure out a way to stop herself from waking up and eating the first human she sees. She heard the knock again and wondered what she would do with the body. After a few unneeded deep breaths she recentered herself. She noticed that whatever was on the outside did not have the sent of a human. She recognized the scent, but couldn't place it. She removed one of the panels that blocked out the sun and rolled her window down a bit. Seeing who it was she glared, rolled up her window, and opened the door.
"I'll tell you the same thing I told the others, I didn't mean to send Bram after Felicitus. It just happened. Accidental meeting in a bar." She said smugly. She wasn't sure how loyal this vampire was to Felicitus, but she was hoping that she could bluff her way out of a confrontation. "And just so you know, I'm sleeping with a cop right now...granted he's human...but they're expendable enough..." What...she was sleeping with a cop.
Luke rolled his eyes. "You really think I'm going to fall for that Celeste?" Luke walked away from the car and let Celeste walk out of the car and stretch out her legs a bit. Luke had figured that Bram had killed Felicitus. So that would mean Luke was the new elder in the brood. Leave it to Felicitus to get killed by an author. No matter if he was a hunter. Luke turned to face Celeste once more "So you lead Bram to Felicitus. I was wondering what happened to him once you stormed off. I have been searching for him all these years. Well I'm not happy i wasted so much of my time...and yet...i feel relieved."
Luke smirked and looked into the night sky. It was a new day. He was in charge of the Limpier Brood now. It's time that he bring in some of the fellow vampires to serve him like they served Felicitus. He would start by recruiting Celeste. Out of all the vampires he could have gone after he went after her. Not only because she was the last person to see Felicitus alive, but also because she was one of the best damned fighters that he had ever seen in the Limpier Brood. It was time to have a partner in crime if she would accept it of course. "I finally feel free. I'm the heir to the Limpier Brood. Too bad they're all over the globe by now...Still i didn't just come to find you to ask about our dead 'father', but i wanted what you've been planning around here. See if you had any plans for the Brood. Like for instance what side would we fight on if the Demons and Angels war got too bloody..
Luke was asking these questions to find out how Celeste had changed. She hadn't seen her in over a hundred years. He needed to know where she stood before he tried to coerce her into joining up.
Celeste stepped out of the car completely. Her eyes darted to the cop who was surely turning blue. She closed the door and leaned against the side of the car. Her eyes scanned Luke. His stance. His mannerisms. Sudden inflictions in his voice. She looked past him to the street, saw the cop car down the road and darted a look to her car. She was rather upset that she broke her rule twice, but that cop tasted so good. She had to figure out what to do with the body before anything else. She dropped the 'aggravated innocent woman' act."I have no designs on the Brood. Find them, take them. It's no problem of mine. I'm just trying to stay off of the bad side of the hunters. Being chased down for the rest of my undeath is not what I would consider a good time."
She stretched languidly, her muscles pulled tight. She hasn't needed to use them, but she makes it a point to stay in shape, just in case. She walked to the other side of the car, pulled the cop out and examined him. She took the cash he had (all of $4.37) and kicked him away from her car. She took a tub from her trunk, siphoned a bit of gas and spilled it onto the cop. She then pushed in the lighter, waited for it to pop and tossed it onto the gas covered pig. She went to her side of the car, got in, and removed the panels from all of the windows. She rolled down her window. "We'd better not stay here long..." she said tersely.
If he enters she begins speaking. "I am no fan of demons or angels. Either one of them could kill me with a thought. If their war does spread to us, I'll probably go into full hiding. Or suckle at the teat that offers the most blood. Personally, I wouldn't care if they just killed off each other and the world went back to what it was before." She would zip down the road, the parking lot burning in the distance. Hopefully, the burns will cover up her bite marks.
Luke looked at Celeste as she stepped out of the car. He noticed the dead cop and couldn't help a smile. So she still couldn't control her vampyric side of her. Good to know whenever he tries to wake her once more. "I have no designs on the Brood. Find them, take them. It's no problem of mine. I'm just trying to stay off of the bad side of the hunters. Being chased down for the rest of my undeath is not what I would consider a good time."
Luke nodded at Celeste. It was good to know that she wouldn't try to take the Brood from him. He smirked at her comment about the hunters. Luke never worried about hunters. Most were so caught up in this demon war that any killing that he did was usually thrown on a very unknowing demon. Well take this offer into consideration. If we take back the Limpier Brood and make it our own we wouldn't ever have to worry about hunters again. Think of it. Having someone to watch our backs when we feed. We wouldn't have to drain a pig for all the blood it was worth. We could take any human we wanted and drain them dry. We wouldn't live out our undeath in fear any longer."
Luke wasn't too sure on how Celeste would take the offer. He thought that if anything she would decide to take it. Being a vampire on the run didn't appeal to many of their kind. After Celeste did her clean up routine Luke got in the car with her and they drove off. "I like the car. I usually walk around. These immortal legs can do wonders when you're fully fed. This whole demon angel war throws me off. I don't know what to think. With the demons in power we wouldn't have much to feed on since they would all be possessed and a demon can be a pain to fight sometimes. With the angels though the world may go back to the way it was. I need to collect my Brood first and foremost though. See how many we are and what they feel we should do."
Celeste heard his constant jabs at her strange feeding habits and how she wouldn't have to run in fear any longer. Her eyes shot over to glance at him. He looked and smelled very well fed. She envied his confidence and his ability to feed and still stay low on the radar. She wished she was that slick, but there was nothing wrong with being a simple survivalist. It took her years to get used to the taste of pig-blood, and even enjoyed it with whiskey at times. She knew, though, that was no way to live as a vampire. She felt stronger now than she had in years all because of the two humans she had drain. The child stalker and the cop made her body tingle. She could see sharper, smell better, and she would probably be able to walk more, faster. Jump higher.
"Yes, but with a brood you'd have more bodies popping up and even the demons will notice how the bodies are drained of blood from far from normal ... circumstances," the idea of being around others intrigued her, but most of the old Brood were reckless. She didn't want any part of their wanton idiocy. Not to mention most of the Brood were probably dead anyway. Felicitus was not the only vampire she helped Bram hunt down. "In any case, who's to say there are anymore around anyway? I escaped the huntings by throwing in my lot with one of the killers. Do you really think anyone else was that lucky?"
Celeste shifted gears, made a left turn onto the ramp for a highway. Whenever she killed she moved a random distance from the place she had killed. Her eyes searched around the highway, saw no tell-tale signs of cops, shifted to a higher gear, and sped down the highway. "I prefer these cars over walking. Even more enjoyable than a horse-ride on a bumby trail." She grinned a bit. Having to live on the outskirts, with nothing but the radio to listen to, and nothing but the voice in her head to speak with has given her a strange outlook on life.
Luke considered everything that Celeste had said. It would be a much harder task to keep such a lively bunch of vampires under the radar. Plus the Limpier Brood was always known for its lack of subtly. But being a vampire was pretty much the only thing that Luke knew how to do well, and he would make a new Brood if it came down to it.
Luke knew that Celeste had helped Bram kill off most of the Limpier Brood. Hell hath no fury and all that. Luke wasn't terribly mad at her for it. He might have done the same if he was used up and spit out by Felicitus like she was. He looked out the window and said nonchalantly "I figured it was you who had helped Bram. It made sense that soon after you left and Felicitus abandoned you that you would want revenge. I did do my research before trying to find you. You may possibly be correct in thinking that most of us are indeed dead, but then again I'm still here aren't I? It wouldn't be an easy task, but we as vampires have all the time in the world."
Luke turned to see Celeste Think then my dear. If we do start up a new Brood we would have numbers on our side. Possibly find a nice little town and find mates. The Hunters wouldn't dare cross into our territory. Even demons no matter how powerful would stop to think twice. I've killed plenty of demons in my time. Think if you will of all the possibilities if we had dozens of us. We wouldn't have to fight in this god awful war between angels and demons. No matter who was the victor it would take hundreds of them to take us down. And oh what a fight it would be." Luke smiled and he suddenly felt shivers up his spine. The bloodshed would be orgasmic. The screams of rage and fear. It would be a living work of the finest art.
Celeste smiled, thinking of how she had helped Bram hunt down the brood. She threw the blinker on, pumped the clutch, changed gears, changed lanes, sped ahead of a slower driver in a Honda Civic, put on the blinker, cut in front of them, pumped the clutch again, and dropped down to a lower gear. Her hand ran up and down the gear as she thought of the possibility of a new mate. She hadn't considered one since Bram lay on his deathbed. She would have turned him, but he would have been so tormented. Never at peace.
The moon was beginning to peak. It was near midnight. Celeste felt a shiver run up and down her spine.
"I never had any desire to kill you, Luke. You were like a father to me all those years ago. Why you allowed Felicitus to rule is beyond me. Was he the only one who could beat you? Or was he really not the one in charge," she sad with a conniving grin. She pulled off the highway at a rest stop. There were a few truckers, not as many as there will be when the moon has past its zenith.
She pulled into a spot near a truck with a creaking cabin. The windows were steamy and it was all too easy a job to guess what was happening within. How she manages to pick spots like this is beyond her. Deep down she believed it was her instinct, pushing, needling, guiding her. "It is...an idea with merit. I will think on it. But few move more easily than many. A large brood will bring only trouble."
She looked outside, her eyes dilated, her voice became colder. "I am sick of hiding."

Luke smiled as Celeste weaved through midnight traffic. His mind wasn't on anything in particular. He was awaiting Celeste's response.
"I never had any desire to kill you, Luke. You were like a father to me all those years ago. Why you allowed Felicitus to rule is beyond me. Was he the only one who could beat you? Or was he really not the one in charge,"
Luke laughed slightly. "I tried my best. You knew how to be discreet. Back when we were our weakest". Luke shrugged trying to play off Celeste's keen observation Then suddenly a slight harshness hit his tone of voice"Felicitus was more like a wild beast then a vampire. He turned anyone that striked his hunger. He had no true ambition. I on the other hand cleaned up all his messes, and did what my lord wished of me. You are correct in your observation. I was truly the one who ran the show. I was one of if not the first that he turned. It was only natural that i did so for the betterment of the Brood. Although i couldn't openly defy or kill him. He still did have his supporters. Those who wanted just to feed and move on. He was so nearsighted."
Luke chuckled "Even now I still have to clean up his messes. Many of my supporters and retainers still live. I know that for a fact. I knew it was you who was aiding Bram. I also knew what to do to put them in hiding. It will be hard to find them again if they are even still alive. A few years back i heard of two hunter brothers that killed an enclave of our Brood. Times have changed. We are novelty items, and bad horror movie villains. Thanks to Bram and Felicitus we are laughed at. I want to change this. I no longer wish to be the main characters of cheesy romance novels. I want to make us feared again. So feared that even Demons stay clear. By This I Vow!"
Luke calmed as they pulled into the truck stop. What a nice place to feed he thought. He turned to Celeste her eyes dilated and distant. He knew that look.
"I am sick of hiding."
Luke narrowed his eyes at Celeste. It seemed that her darker side still had a mind of its own. He knew he shouldn't have left her alone for all these years. Many vampires her age had their inner demon under wraps. Luke grabbed on Celeste and gave her a fast slap. His eyes wide and his second row of teeth showing. If she went off the deep end he would be ready. He needed her focused. "Snap out of it dammit! It is YOUR body Celeste not your hungers. Look at me look into my eyes." Luke pulled Celeste closer. Using his charming gaze to coax her true self out and put the hunger back in its place.
Celeste's face was jerked sharply to the side, her mouth opened, her teeth were bared. But then, she was taken into his gaze. The primal part of her bubbled angrily near the surface for a few moments, it wavered, and collapsed as an exhausted wave collapses upon a shore. She closed her eyes tightly and only opened them after a few seconds. She shuddered. She looked to the cabin of the truck, her head bowed slightly. She didn't want Luke to see her weep. She wasn't strong enough, mentally. She never really had been. She was nothing more than a weak little girl trapped in an animistic and primal body.
"I ... am not myself. I do not believe you will want someone as ... unstable ... as I to assist you in your endeavors. It's getting worse. It awakens before I do and sleeps only after I have fallen asleep."
She wiped the tears from her cheeks and eyes, took a deep breath, and turned back to Luke. She was sure he could smell the tears, the emotion. Her eyes took on a hard glint. She did miss the terror they used to spread across the globe. "I do miss the hunt." And deep down, she did want a family. She wanted to be feared. No.
She wanted to be respected. She was beautiful, yes. She had certain womanly charms. But is not what she wanted to be for the rest of her undeath. She was strong, and with some help she could reach her full potential. And, hopefully, figure out why it feels like she is channeling Felicitus into her body.
Luke retracted his fangs and breathed a sigh of relief. He wasn't all too sure that his gaze was going to work for Celeste. She had been dealing with this hunger for much longer then normal. Luke turned his gaze away from her to let her regain some composure. The use of some of his power made him a little hungry. He would need to feed soon, or next time Celeste's hunger materialized he might have to stop it with force.
"I ... am not myself. I do not believe you will want someone as ... unstable ... as I to assist you in your endeavors. It's getting worse. It awakens before I do and sleeps only after I have fallen asleep."
"It is hard for all of us to control our hunger Celeste. I blame myself for this...problem. I should have found you sooner. I should have trained you sooner, but no. All i wished was to confirm that Felicitus was dead. Your hunger has a mind of its own now. It will take more time to rid you of its control. I knew i found it strange when you had the police officer in your car. My intelligence told me that you had been feeding off of animals." Luke sighed and looked at the car next to them again. He fought the urge to rid them both out and feed on them right then and there. First things first. He would need a target for Celeste so he may teach her some measure of control.
Luke turned to Celeste "I will train you. You may not wish to follow me in making a new Brood if you do not want to, but you are still one of if not the only survivor from the Limpier Brood. I feel that it is my duty as your elder and surrogate father to teach you control."
My intelligence told me that you had been feeding off of animals."
Celeste sighed at that statement. One eye twitched a bit at the mention of learning control. She clamped down on it and stared at the truck to the side. "He was the second. The first was a pedofile, I believe. Some strange creature took me there to feed. The blood. It was disgusting, but it felt so good. Until then I was surviving off of strays, not as many farm animals around as I thought there would be. A lot of corn, though." She pulled her eyes away from the truck with some difficulty.
"I would like some training. I do not want to be consumed as Felicitus was, I am not him." She clenched her fist and shook her head. "I'm not a mongrel beast, and I know this, how did it get this far?" She shivered, though her ability to feel cold has long since disappeared. She sent a look to her surrogate father. "I love Pig Blood & JD, but a girl cannot live on pleasant liquors alone..." she tried for a bit of humor there and let out a sad chuckle.
Luke nodded as Celeste admitted to him that she wanted to be in control of her hunger. It had taken Luke many years to control it, but that was when he was with Felicitus. Felicitus didn't want control. He thought that the hunger was the real reason anyone would want to become a vampire. Luke had to learn control by himself. He had to learn how to use the hunger by himself. Around dozens of frenzied vampires. It was hard to do, but once he did he used his control to teach others control. He hadn't taught anyone in centuries, but he had to try. For some reason he saw a kindred spirit in Celeste. Someone who didn't have much of anything just like him. There was one thing that Luke had and that was the Brood. Nothing else.
Luke turned to the people outside and saw a couple walking down. They had been fighting. Luke could sense the blood pumping in their hearts. Luke turned calmly to Celeste "I will teach you how to control the hunger. Your first lesson is walking down to their car. That couple over there. It is in plane sight is it not? We will meld into the darkness; be one with the crowd and follow them to their car. Then when they get in grab them and haul them into the woods. Where you will not feed on them. We will tie them to a tree and i will stand in front of the man. I will feed on the woman, and you will wait. I cannot afford any easier techniques. Your hunger has gotten too strong for anything less."
Celeste look at the people walking to their car. She shivered at the thought of another hunt. Logically, she wasn't all that hungry at this time, having just had a cop not too long ago, but still, the beast was there, reveling in the hunt. Her eyes dilated a few times, then the pupils shrank to their normal size. She got out of the car and closed the door. Light footfalls took her to the edge of the nearby woods. She looked from one side to the next, counting paces between the trees.
She was in no way invisible, but she stayed behind the trees and she was silent. She stepped out from the woods as they reached their car. A single leap took her to their hood, when she landed she dented it. She tilted her head to the side, a smirk on her face. She wanted to take them right then and there. The man was turning red with anger, the female was frightened. She smelled it, her breathing had increased. Her eyes dilated. She turned to face her mentor, a grin on her face. "You high or somethin' bitch? Look what you did to my car!" She turned toward the man and downed him with a quick jab to the face. She picked him up and threw him over her shoulder like a bag of flour. She looked at the girl with a grin that allowed her teeth to show.
