Welcome to SU: Legacy, a next-gen Supernatural RP that takes place in the year 2040. The Men of Letters has expanded to include three base locations across the continental US. Angels and demons have gone mostly dormant but there are still supernatural evils lurking in the shadows. The legacies could use your help. Are you in?
Giving credit where credit is due. A big thank you to all the coders at PBS and various resource sites for any codes, plug-ins and templates.
Thanks to Nick @ Fidelius for the fabulous mini-profile. Everything else was created by our own staff. If we missed someone please let us know.
We don't own Supernatural, we just enjoy it's awesomeness. Thanks Eric Kripke for creating it, all the writers/producers for putting out a great show and the CW for keeping it on the air for almost 10 years now!
Seguin Island is located off the coast of Maine. In 1796, construction of the Seguin Island lighthouse was completed. For over two centuries, it served as a guide for those traveling along the coast by sea. The tower was rebuilt several times over the years, due to the constant exposure to the elements.
In the early 1900s, the caretaker, Herbert Spinney, kept a vast collection of minerals, corals, and birds he'd stuffed and mounted. He turned the lightkeeper's house into a museum, which attracted many visitors to the island.
One morning, Spinney awoke to find nearly 250 dead birds surrounding the lighthouse. The widely accepted explanation for this phenomenon was that they flew into the lantern glass of the tower.
In the 1940s, a tram station was installed. It leads from the boathouse near the dock up to the caretaker's house, covering a distance of one quarter of a mile.
In 2006, the tower was restored.
Sequin Island boasts Maine's second oldest active lighthouse.
-NOW-
When the Croatoan virus began to spread throughout the mainland, the caretaker and his family remained safe on the island. However, many mainland residents fled to the safety of the area's surrounding islands.
In 2013, I found the island abandoned. Only the spirits of its former residents remained.
Seguin Island is now a medical and supply station, offering sanctuary to anyone who needs it.
Navigation
There are only three ways to reach the island: by boat, by plane, or by teleportation. There is one actual dock where one may store a boat in the boathouse. From there, the tram can take you to the Medical Station, which was once the home of the lighthouse keeper. Behind the Medical Station is the Tower, which overlooks the sea and the mainland coast. Around the corner you'll find the Fog House. Its primary function is to allow one to activate the fog horn, but it also houses supplies and some basic weaponry. There are also several small multi-purpose storage cabins located around the Tower and Medical Station.
About one-hundred yards off the coast of the island you can find a lovely houseboat. This is my private residence, and I'd rather you didn't drop in unannounced unless it's an emergency.
Emergency Response
If there is an emergency on the island while I am in the houseboat, there are several ways you can contact me: Sound the fog horn, light a flair, use the CB radio in the Medical Station, shut down the lantern in the tower, take a boat or jet-ski over to the boathouse, or swim if necessary. If you have telepathic abilities of some sort, of course those would also work.
If you are contacting me from the mainland for emergency response, using a radio is the best way to reach me. You will either contact me directly, or one of my assistants, who will get your message to me quickly.
There is no working telephone on the island, and mobile phones do not receive a signal. I am working on remedying this problem, but it is not a priority.
Protection
Currently, no species as a whole are barred from the island. No matter what your species, if you are willing to help and do not wish us harm, you are welcome here. You will be given shelter, hospitality, and safe passage to wherever else you need to travel in exchange for your assistance.
However, there are protective charms, crystals, minerals, and sigils placed throughout the island to protect us from those who wish us harm. If someone sets foot on the island that wishes us harm, I will be alerted immediately and I will be forced to take action.
Although we welcome all species, there are a few people who are barred from the island in order to protect its residents. The following beings are not allowed to visit Seguin without making prior arrangements to do so:
Sam Winchester - vessel of Lucifer Alastair - demon Paimon - demon Ruby - demon Uriel - angel
Notes: If you would like to post a thread in Lachlan's houseboat, PM Greg for the password. If you are on the list of banned visitors, that does not mean you aren't allowed to post here. But, those particular characters are either powerful, dangerous, or linked to someone powerful and/or dangerous, and Lachlan would want to make special arrangements if they were to visit.
