Welcome to SU: Legacy, a next-gen Supernatural RP that takes place in the year 2040. The Men of Letters has expanded to include three base locations across the continental US. Angels and demons have gone mostly dormant but there are still supernatural evils lurking in the shadows. The legacies could use your help. Are you in?

A small smirk played at Amber's lips when she heard Matt reply to her about seeing unusuall things. In the blink of an eye Amber turned on her toe and stoped walking.
"Well it's starting to get cold out, what to go back to my place? We could have a few drinks and talk if you like? It's just around the corner not far from here." Amber looked over at Matt.
Why did Amber get the feeling that inviting Matt back to her place was a bad idea? Once again she shoved the bad feelings down and just took them as being nervous.'
A gust of wind blew around Amber causing her hair to flutter around her and a burt of courage poured into her. Amber strutted over to Matt and stood so that their bodies were only a few inches apart.
"Don't you think it would be fun to go somewhere more private? I know that's what you want, why else would you be following me?" Amber purred and started to run her hand up and down Matt's arm.
There it was, the invitation back to her place. Malphas had had quicker times, but considering that she was likely not looking to go home with another human, he called it acceptable. And around the corner? How convenient! It started to look like Malphas could wrap up this night rather quickly. Then again, he could always make it last.
But probably not in the way that she had in mind.
He could not deny that she was an attractive specimen. It would certainly be a fun filled night. With her last phrase, he decided to go in for the kill. Metaphorically, for now.
"Maybe I just like the pleasure of your company?" Grinning, he wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her the rest of the distance to him. "Unless you meant something more along these lines..."
His free hand held the back of her head while he kissed her lips, keeping it going for several seconds before pulling away and moving his mouth down her neck, gently biting her there.
"Somewhere private would be nice. Would you like to lead the way?"
When Matt closed the distance between each other his warmth radiated off of him and made Amber feel comfortable and relaxed. But how could such a simple movement make a person feel comfortable in the arms of a stranger? It seemed so odd to Amber but her body craved the warmth and strong body that was pressed against her own.
Amber looked up when Matt broke the silence that seemed to be wrapped around them. His face was a mere few inches from her own and he bent down and kissed her full on the lips.
Oh my gosh had he just kissed her!? Amber was shocked at how much courage Matt had. But he tasted so sweet on her lips... Matt's mouth moved down to her neck and he kissed her causing chills to spread through her body. Momentarily Amber closed her eyes at how good it felt to have Matt so close to her.
Once Matt asked her to show the way back to her place Amber's eyes snapped open and a small smile grew on her lips.
"Right this way." Amber reluctantly stepped away from Matt.
This night was going to end better than she thought. So much for not having a guy in her life. So what if it was a fling, it was still a guy wasn't it? Amber walked with Matt out of the park and headed down the side walk.
This was like stealing a child from a playground! She was, quite literally, leading herself down the path to her own demise. While Malphas often enjoyed flexing his intellectual muscles against his opponents (could he even truly consider this girl an 'opponent'? Unlikely), sometimes having 'dinner and a show' fall into his lap was preferable to a drawn out mind game.
Naturally, he followed her. His 'hunter-sense' still wide open. While it was highly unlikely that this girl was a threat to him, the possibility of her acting as bait was always open. Unless the hunter knew what they were hunting, using bait to lure a white eye? Nobody would be that stupid. If Amber was bait, the hunter likely had no idea what they were dealing with, and therefore would be unprepared for Malphas true, considerable power.
His mind settled for a moment after firing off countless possible scenarios that could potentially play out. Each one more elaborate and impossible than the last, until Malphas reached the (quite distant) limits of his insanity. By this point, the two of them had traveled most of the distance to Amber's home. Malphas' mind worked quite quickly, as her home wasn't that far form the park.
The entire walk, he had been rather quiet as his mind fired off in random directions, but now he was focused back on Amber.
"So, what sort of plans do you have for me?" He caught up to Amber, sliding his arm around her waist again and pulling her close.
Amber smiled as Matt pulled her close, she looked up with a glint in her eye.
"Of you know...." Amber paused for a moment, "just some fun." A mischievous smile crept onto her face.
As they walked back to Amber's room that she was staying at, things seemed different. Other than the fact that she had a man close to her... It seemed like the night was darker and was keeping some secrete from her, the wind that once was giving Amber bumps on skin was barely a whisper. The street had no people walking, just like everybody had gone inside or.... died.
It seemed very strange to Amber how the town could have changed so suddenly.
Amber thought, "I wasn't in the bar that long was I? How could things seem so, empty?"
Amber's thoughts were disrupted as she stood at her motel room door. Her feet had guided Amber back to where she longed to be, just like she had been there many times before. The metal felt cold as Amber fished a key out of her pocket and put it in the door. With ease the red door swung open and reviled two queen sized beds, a night stand, a small bathroom in the back, and a TV. It wasn't much but it was now Amber's new home.
Once inside the room seemed to be filled with warmth and comfort. Amber let out a sigh. This room held all that she needed.
Motel room? Hm, perhaps his assumption that she wasn't a hunter was incorrect. He knew that they moved around, and a motel such as this would provide exactly what they needed, the basic amenities and not much more. They were a resourceful breed, Malphas had to admit. Still just as easy to kill as a regular human, just resourceful. And Malphas enjoyed a good challenge.
Of course the street was empty, should a fight break out. Malphas never traveled without protection, and some of his choice underlings had ensured that he would have a nice, quiet, undisturbed night. His favorite kind.
As he entered the room, he couldn't help but notice the lack of a salt line or any of the other traditional defenses against his kind. Obviously now she wasn't a hunter. Or perhaps an incredibly stupid one, the option remained open.
The room was... warm and cozy for a motel. Aside from that, he didn't mind being inside. After all, a night of debauchery with a demon tends to eliminate all signs of comfort from a room.
"Nice place you have here." He chuckled lightly and hopped onto the bed, laying down with his hands behind his head.
It was truly an interesting night. He'd heard a few rumors about the area, and the idea that his quarry, a white-eyed-demon would show up here was phenomenally good luck. This, naturally, put Varod on edge. Pushing a stray strand of hair out of his eyes as he removed his bike helmet, he set it on his bike and locked the tricked out motorcycle in place.
As he entered the bar, which he assumed a demon would see as a perfect hunting ground, he had a flask of holy water beneath his jacket, ready just in case. Then he saw it, a man with amazingly good fighting skills and such confidence that he was either a demon or a gang member. Either way, he'd be doing the world a service by keeping tabs on these people. It was at that moment that he noticed a small flare in the man's eyes that settled it: This was his quarry.
When the two left, he exited and followed them through the park on foot after mentally reciting the exorcism ritual to make sure he'd memorized it. Then they got to the motel he just so happened to be staying in. So, how to go about trapping and exorcising this bastard...
Maybe I could get their attention and draw it on the floor out here.... he thought to himself. Quickly drawing a demons trap on the wall next to the door, and on the floor in front of it (in case it wasn't the demon that opened the door, and instead the woman), he banged on the door hard and ran around the corner, away from where the one on the wall was. It may have been overkill, but where he was he drew yet another demon's trap, just in case both of the others failed. This one was partially enclosed in shadows, so it would be hard to see.
Seeing Matt hop onto the bed so easily put Amber's mind into a state of alert. What sort of intentions did this guy have? Of course Amber was planning on sleeping with the guy, but he seemed a bit to relaxed with all of this.
Amber's mind went into overdrive and thoughts popped into her head "Matt punched the man at the bar, followed her outside, kissed her in the park and then followed her home. Not once did he falter or question anything. Did she know anything about Matt?...... Well he was attractive, wasn't concerned about hurting men and was very confident." But nothing personal popped into her head. "Was that a bad thing?"
The door quickly closed behind Amber and caused her to lightly jump. "Must have been a gust of wind." Amber thought
The warmth of the room caused her to relax and remove the stress in her body.
Amber responded to Matt with uncertainty in her voice, "It's not much but it's good for now." And sank into a nearby chair and and closed her eyes.

Malphas ignored Amber's next words as several loud knocks resounded through the small motel room. Instantly, the White Eye's mind started firing off possibilities. Housekeeping? This late is unlikely. Police? No, nothing was wrong unless she is wanted. They are easy to deal with. Had a hunter found him? Of all possibilities that rose to the top of the stormy ocean that was his insane mind, that was seemed most likely giving his previous activities in the bar.
Entirely ignoring Amber's words, he got up from the bed and headed to the door, opening it. Whatever this possibly non-existent hunter could do, he doubted killing a white-eye was something he was prepared for.
After the motel room door swung open, Malphas laughed out loud. A casual glance at the ground in front of the door revealed a devil's trap, and a very rudimentary one at that. Even if Malphas got himself caught in it, he could easily find a way to wipe it away.
At this point, he recalled that Amber was in the room. "Sorry hun, some crazy guy that follows me around. He's VERY into that supernatural crap." He gestured to the Devil's trap on the ground. "This will drive him crazy."
He walked over to the cutlery drawer in the room and took out a simple knife. Malphas then knelt down next to the door, scraping away a portion of the devil's trap, ruining it.
"Seriously? Where's the A game!?" he shouted out the door. Turning back to Amber "I'll be back in a minute. I would hate for him to ruin our night." He winked at her before exiting the door.
As he walked out, his eyes kept an eagle eye out for any other traps. There was another one on the wall. Seriously? Malphas gave him credit for creativity, but he scraped away a portion of that trap as well.
"You're really not good at this!" He shouted in no particular direction at the hunter.
He wasn't good at it? Smiling, he kept his pouch of holy water at the ready. "A game? My A game as you put it doesn't seem to be here tonight, but why don't we just see about that?" he called, standing back. Immediately after he said it, he looked at the shrouded devils trap and readied his holy water. So, now would be a good time to describe the motel. It was two floors, with a wraparound porch on each floor and rooms on both sides. Not a bad setup. They were on the second floor. There was an overhang directly above the second floor, and it was at this point that Varod wished he had a can of spray paint, as he wasn't tall enough to draw a devil's trap on the overhang.
"If I'm so bad at it, then you must be worse, as I managed to find you! Forget to cover your tracks, or were you thinking with the wrong head, demon?"
After opening her eyes to hearing Matt talk about a strange man that follows him, Amber thought that it wasnt't best for him to go alone. Leaving the warm room and stepping out into the cold air made the hair on her arms stand on end. Running her arms Amber looked down, a strange penagram like drawing was on the ground.
"Huh that's odd. Maybe he's one of those satanic cult members?" Amber thought.
Amber proceded to follow the direction that Matt was going in. Having Matt yell at nothing was starting to freak Amber out, maybe he was the crazy one.
All of a sudden Amber heard another male voice speak. "....demon."
"Wait demon?" Amber spoke. "Woops" Amber didn't really mean to say that and give away that she was following him.
Malphas couldn't help but laugh at Varod. He was an older demon than Crowley, who was this hunter to talk to him in such a manner? Malphas started to devise tortures already.
"An option you probably didn't consider, hunter." Following his voice, he turned and looked toward the corner that Varod was hiding behind. "I mean, with your limited intellect and... well not exactly much else. Did you ever stop to consider that I--" He turned around in time to see Amber speak.
Talking low so that the hunter couldn't hear him, "Yes, demon. Why don't you head back inside, I'll clean up out here and we'll have some fun?" Turning back to shouting at Varod, he spoke again.
"Ever consider that I wanted you to find me? Or was that possibility not generated by those two functioning neurons left in your head?" He started to slowly walk towards the corner where Varod was hiding, hands in pockets, taking his sweet time.
"What if you stopped to consider your course of action for a moment. Was this not all too easy? The fight in the bar, the flawless confidence?" He chuckled as he approached the corner the hunter was behind.
Varod kept his eyes from looking at the ground. Just a few more step, and this demon would be stuck in the trap. "If you wanted me to find you, then you're more of a fool than I first thought." Coming out of his hiding place, he popped his neck. "Come on then, kill me! I doubt you have the guts." Just in case, he has his holy water at the ready if he had to bail.
"I still think that you were thinking with the wrong head. All that torture in hell a bit too much? Made you want to meet the burning bush instead? Ya know something interesting," he said suddenly. "Vampires, I've seen them change their stripes, but never a demon. Silly, if you ask me."
Pulling out his favorite machete, he readied it for a fight. "This was all well and good, but let's end this here and now." He decided, what the hell, and began reciting the exorcism chant. Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus...
Amber was taken back by Matt wanting her to go inside. Should she let Matt be alone with his stalker? That didn't seem like a good idea. But then again Matt was right about other things...
"I really don't think you should be alone out here with a strange man following you." Amber looked around to see where the man might be.
The man's voice echoed off the walls and the darkness. "I still think that you were thinking with the wrong head. All that torture in hell a bit too much? Made you want to meet the burning bush instead? Ya know something interesting. Vampires, I've seen them change their stripes, but never a demon. Silly, if you ask me."
Concern and confusion was starting to take over Amber. "Whoa woad, wait a second. What is he talking about?" Amber looked over to Matt. "Why is he talking about hell and torturing people?"
Once those words slipped Amber's lips she stared wide eyed at Matt. Before Matt could even answer she spoke. "You haven't killed anyone have you? And what the heck is he doing?" Amber points at the man speaking latin.
"Why would I want to change who I am?" Malphas stopped walking and shrugged, crossing his arms. "Once a demon, always a demon. Anyone who says differently is lying." Truly, this hunter was new. He had to be. He was attempting to goad a white-eyed demon to kill him. Unless... Oh of course. The idiot had some sort of trap prepared. There was no way that he could be that stupid unless it was intentional.
Amber was still following him, which was problematic only in the sense that she would probably not want to sleep with him after what was about to occur. He began to speak, "Well, that's a bit of a loaded ques--" Before pretending like he was cut off, choking and clutching his throat and slamming into the nearby wall, sliding down as Varod continued the exorcism.
Of course, this was having absolutely no effect on him. A simple exorcism may be enough for a run of the mill demon, but not for something of Malphas' caliber. But he wanted to see what the hunter would do, so he played along, going into spasms as the ritual continued.
