Welcome to SU: Legacy, a next-gen Supernatural RP that takes place in the year 2040. The Men of Letters has expanded to include three base locations across the continental US. Angels and demons have gone mostly dormant but there are still supernatural evils lurking in the shadows. The legacies could use your help. Are you in?
Giving credit where credit is due. A big thank you to all the coders at PBS and various resource sites for any codes, plug-ins and templates.
Thanks to Nick @ Fidelius for the fabulous mini-profile. Everything else was created by our own staff. If we missed someone please let us know.
We don't own Supernatural, we just enjoy it's awesomeness. Thanks Eric Kripke for creating it, all the writers/producers for putting out a great show and the CW for keeping it on the air for almost 10 years now!
Post by ZZZ - Dean - RETIRED on Oct 26, 2010 7:59:56 GMT -8
In his haste to save the day, Dean had missed the obvious, too blinded by fear that something might happen to Li that he didn’t even realise something bad was happening to Li. His focus was on the gun wielding woman who was punching and kicking him because defending against that with your hands cuffed wasn‘t particularly easy. At the time, she’d seemed like the natural threat, it wasn’t exactly his fault he had the wrong person.
It took Annali’s scream and Cas’s confirmation to realise that the kids were indeed the problem. When he turned away from Corinne, his eyes widened in horror as one child raised a pair of scissors to stab Li in the chest.
“No!” He yelled, desperately running towards her to try and stop it from happening. The distance was too great and he knew he wouldn’t reach her in time though. That was when he thanked God that Castiel was with him.
In the blink of an eye, the angel was by her side, despatching the scissor happy kid before he could do any harm. For the merest of seconds though, Dean thought he saw something odd in the shiny reflection of the scissor blades. The child’s face didn’t seem like it was really the child’s face.
“Get her out of here!” He instructed Cas, needing Li safe. He didn’t care if he only took her to the cafeteria, so long as she wasn’t getting attacked by killer kids or being chased by women with guns, it would be an improvement.
Given that said woman with the gun hadn’t shot him yet, he began to think that perhaps she was on their side after all. Coupled together with the possibility they were dealing with changelings after what he’d glimpsed in the reflection, his mind joined the dots for him.
“Hunter?” He simply asked Corinne, not having the time for a full on conversation right now.
“You got another weapon?”
Secure in the knowledge that Castiel wouldn’t let any harm come to Li, he began backing away from the advancing group of kids, his mind racing to think of a plan of how to firstly make sure these weren’t real children before he harmed them, and secondly, how to find the real children if that was the case.
It really had turned out to be one of those days. One of those really shitty days where you should have stayed in bed instead of listening to your friend and going to hunt changeling’s. But she couldn’t take that back now, plus there wasn’t time to sit and whine about the past. Not when there was danger all around. Cori barely had time to throw the guy off before the children were running towards them, grabbing the brunette, and pulling her away. It seemed like everyone, in sync, jumped to help her. And then something really weird happened.
The man, in the trench coat, he poofed. Not just moved super quickly, but literally was in one place one moment, and a different in the next. Rushing to the aid of the woman, knocking the changelings out and pulling Annali to her feet, he moved with such confidence. Cori didn’t freeze, well, she usually didn’t, but this was different. This made her blood run cold and her skin go pale. She was loosing control of the situation, and if that happened things could get dangerous. “What the hell?” She spoke out loud, not meaning to, but too shocked to say anything else.
What was that guy? Demon? That was the first thing that came to mind. And the other man, what was up with those handcuffs? What did one woman, a demon, and a handcuffed man all have in common? It seemed like one of those weird riddles. A bad trip. May Dan would jump out and yell ‘surprise’, tell her it had all been a joke and she should have seen the look on her face.
“Get her out of here!”
The fear in the man’s voice was real though. And so was this situation. Snapping her head out of the clouds, Cori looked to the handcuffed man as he spoke. Little good he would do with his hands bound like that, or so she thought. But it wasn’t like she had her lock pick on her right now, not to mention her skills were a bit rusty.
“Hunter?”
That surprised her in a way, but not really. He looked like the type.
“Got another weapon?”
Cori nodded, pulling a knife from her boot and then handing the gun to him. He would probably be able to get a better shot with the gun than with the knife. Or maybe not, but either way, she kept the knife to herself. All hunters had to be somewhat good in hand-to-hand combat so she was prepared to fight, but worry crept back into her mind as she looked back to the handcuffed hands. If worse came to worse she would end up having to protect both of them. Nothing new.
One of the changelings let out a feral cry and lunged towards them, Cori jumped forward, rushing to meet it. The knife stabbed into the creature’s side. Guilt panged her heart. It had the face of a child, but she had to keep telling herself just how bad this little monster really was. Blood splashed onto her pants and she thought little of it. Shoving the thing back and turning to look at the man for a brief moment, she spoke, “I don’t suppose you’d have a torch on you.”
