Welcome to SU: Legacy, a next-gen Supernatural RP that takes place in the year 2040. The Men of Letters has expanded to include three base locations across the continental US. Angels and demons have gone mostly dormant but there are still supernatural evils lurking in the shadows. The legacies could use your help. Are you in?
Giving credit where credit is due. A big thank you to all the coders at PBS and various resource sites for any codes, plug-ins and templates.
Thanks to Nick @ Fidelius for the fabulous mini-profile. Everything else was created by our own staff. If we missed someone please let us know.
We don't own Supernatural, we just enjoy it's awesomeness. Thanks Eric Kripke for creating it, all the writers/producers for putting out a great show and the CW for keeping it on the air for almost 10 years now!

She stopped as Brody came into view, holding her retreat to the parking lot in order to get one stolen moment with him. Looking into those big puppy dog eyes she knew there was something different about how she felt for him, different from all the other people in her life that she cared for. He had a sweet nature, someone who might actually understand her more than anyone had or cared to before, see that she was a mixture of a big heart, low self image, and a drive to help people. Maybe, just maybe, he’d understand her better than she understood herself. In that instant she felt like she was standing at a precipice of a whole new chapter in her life and hoped that he would grasp her hand to keep her from falling. Of course the possibility existed that after she got Brody out that he would simply vanish from her life as quickly as he had appeared in it. If that happened it may just break her fragile heart.
What had really done “it” for the young hunter was a combination of who he had been in those tense moments after she had killed the vampire, the adorable side of him in the hospital (drug induced as it was) the night before, but especially for the genuine affection that he seemed to hold for Hunter. Anyone who loved dogs were, in her opinion, good people, because no evil mastermind could like a dog or have a dog like them in return, or at least in her experience (of course she hadn’t ever met a evil genius).
As he was wheeled past her she dared to reach out a hand, the back of it softly brushing against his cheek as a smile caressed her lips at the contact, his whiskers softly tickling her skin. After last nights dream (no matter how badly it had ended) that moment in which her skin touched his, she felt a sensation that seemed to begin at the back of her neck, tingling like a low energy current, traveling down till it reached her toes. It also was warm, delightful, and new to the girl who had never felt an adult’s attraction to another person. The truth is that she hadn’t found the time or the inclination or willing parties to date much. The boys she had liked all seemed to be spoken for or viewed her like a little sister, making her untouchable. Those who were interested seemed only interested in one thing with her and that she did not want to just give away too just anyone, wanting sweet, caring, and kind. In Brody perhaps she had found the right person. Logically she knew she was a hunter and that she might not live very much longer, shouldn’t she have the right to experience this one pleasure before her life ended? Then the proverbial angel on he shoulder (did he wear a trench coat now? probably) chastened her to wait, to get to know Brody better, make sure he wanted her as well. Mentally chiding herself she tried again to force those thoughts back, the decision would come, that he might not even come with her, and that would make all these thoughts pretty pointless. First things first, she had to get him out of the mental ward.
As her hand moved from his cheek she almost followed after him, wanting that warm sensation to linger on a bit longer, but she held back, knowing if she did her job right she’d have another chance to be near him, hug him, even be held by him.
”Brody, I’ll see you as soon as I can, don’t leave.”
Hoping that he’d understand the unspoken message, for him to stay put, that she’d be coming for him. She stood there watching him get pushed down the hallway, our of her sight, then and only then did she turn towards the exit to leave.
She did return as promised, after dark Picking up Hunter from the doggie day care, she made sure that she was ready to beat feet out of town once she had Brody free. Not caring which way they went, as long as he was in the seat next to her, she didn’t even bother with picking a destination.
Pulling into the parking lot, she made sure to park Shelby in the back of the building by an exit that lacked an outside camera, which she had noted the location of while on the inside of the hospital. She then moved Hunter into the back seat from the passengers seat, making sure his harness was secure before she got out, leaving the doors unlocked, then moving into the hospital. Inside she did her best impression of a person who knew exactly where they were going, knowing that it might raise less questions like “why are you here so late?” from the staff. Now, one thing Ren seemed to have going for her was uncanny luck, it’s what kept her alive up till now. Thanks to that luck, in moments she located the psychiatric ward on a hospital map. Along with that she also was able to follow a nurse into the nurse’s lounge where she found not only a nurse’s outfit to change into but a security badge that would get her into the secured ward. Before walking out of the lounge, leaving her clothing behind in lieu of the absconded uniform, she paused to pull out a ziplock bag of cookies from her soon to be former coat, and stuffed them into a pocket in the uniform. Why did she do it? Honestly she had no clue, perhaps intuition.
She headed down into the mental ward, swiping her borrowed card to gain access. Her final lucky moment was that, not two doors into the ward, she found Brody’s room. Clasping her hands together a moment to stop them from shaking, she then took a deep breath and opened the door. As he came into view she couldn’t help but allow a soft smile to creep over her features.
”I’m Ren Mercer, I’m here to rescue you.”
Borrowing a line, well paraphrasing it really, from one of her favorite movies, hoping he wouldn’t think her a nerd for the reference.
“A little short for a psych nurse aren’t you?” Brody replied with a smirk on his face as he rolled onto his side on the bed. He’d just finished wriggling out of his restraints when Ren had opened the door and for a brief moment he thought he’d been busted in his escape attempt. It only took a second to recognise his rescuer and the startled expression of being caught immediately gave way to giddy happiness that it was the one person he could trust right now.
“Am I glad to see you. How the hell did you get in here to find me?” He got cut off on the last word when the alarm went off in the hall outside his room.
“Never mind, escape first, talk later.” Without wasting time, Brody got off his bed and took Ren by the hand, leading her back out the door after checking first that the coast was clear. They ran down the corridor and ducked into a hidden nook when a couple of orderlies dashed past in search of the intruder that had broken in. Brody held his breath and tried to become one with the shadows, his body pressed intimately close to Ren’s as they hid. When the danger had passed, he exhaled in relief and looked down at the woman who was risking her safety for him yet again.
“Thanks by the way. For saving my life back at the warehouse. Not a lot of people would do something like that for me and I just wanted you to know how much it meant.”
Despite the alarm blaring in the background and the sense of impending capture, Brody felt the moment was right to do something he had wanted to do ever since he’d first clapped eyes on Ren dressed up in a nurse’s outfit. Admittedly it had only been about a four minutes, but uniforms always did it for him no matter what the circumstances.
Without further ado, he leaned down and planted a soft, tender kiss on Ren’s lips, holding her cheek in his hand. It didn’t last for long, they were after all a little pressed for time, but it was wonderful all the same. When he broke away to smile at her blushing face, he had a funny feeling that things were about to get a whole lot better for him in the near future.
“Right, where were we? Oh yeah, escaping. C’mon.”
And with that, he lead her out to freedom, to a floppy eared dog in a beat up car and a chance of figuring out who he really was.
