"Dad's on a hunting trip... and he hasn't been home in a few days."

Back in 2005 two estranged brothers were brought back together to find their missing father. This was no ordinary family, they were the Winchesters. The two brothers, Dean and Sam, were brought up by their father, John, in a very different world. The world they lived in all the things that go bump in the night were very, very real.

"This is dad's book. I think he wants us to pick up where he left off..."

The brothers were destined to be reunited. To carry on the family tradition. The quest to find their father turned into so much more.

"...saving people, hunting things. The family business."

As they traveled across the country in the trusty Impala, they did what they could. The brothers met allies and enemies along the way. The toll it took on them was brutal, the losses started to pile up.

Sam and Dean were faced with more supernatural disturbances and beings than ever before. The relationship between the brothers was tested to its limits. There were many other obstacles along the way as well.

Yes... Armageddon, the apocalypse was coming. The signs from Revelation were all there. The Four Horsemen and the Archangels were preparing for battle.

It seemed the brothers' destiny was bigger than the family business. All roads lead to the same place. Stop the seals from breaking.

The battle for the seals wasn't easy. It was hard fought and carried on for some time. Of the 66 seals that Lilith needed to break, the demons had broken almost 60 of them. The Winchesters couldn't handle this alone, so they brought in some help.

A gathering of all the hunters they could find. They were sent out in teams to try and stop the last seals from breaking. The move paid off. After two years of chasing after the various possible seals they finally had a stroke of good fortune. Before the last seals could be broken, Lilith was killed.

Unbeknownst to the hunters, Lilith was the final seal. When she was killed before the 66 seals were broken, that stopped the apocalypse.

Crisis averted.

Yeah, right. As if that was the end.

Seven years after the brothers were reunited, it's 2012. Even though they stopped Lucifer from rising and the world didn't turn completely into hell on earth, that doesn't mean it's all over. Heaven is still in chaos. Rogue angels trying to assert their rule has had a ripple effect on humanity.

"We're on our third "the world is screwed" issue in what three years?"

Demons and other creatures of myths and legends are running rampant in the world. It seems to have come back full circle. The only thing that the Winchesters and the other hunters can do is do what they do best.
